Isn't the higgs boson already kind of "proved"? Something like it has to exist if the standard model is correct (which afaik we have a lot of reason to believe it is, given its accuracy), they just want to confirm the existence of the higgs so they can work it into the model proper. So the comic fails even more!

This, it's just a mechanism to explain the masses of the particles in the standard model.

It isn't observed, it isn't even strictly necessary (you CAN get gravity working with a quantum model, lolhiggs), and I personally do not believe they will find it. Though I do expect the LHC to find a dark matter candidate particle.

we had a pear tree in my backyard right near the house sort of, and we ended up cutting all the branches and left about 3 feet of stump left and had someone scheduled to come uproot it at the end of the month. i was on the roof with my friends on 4th of july watching fireworks and i went to get down and slipped and fell off right into the stump in basically the same position as that dude. i want to hug him and tell him i know

Ya it took me a sec to figure it out too, and I honestly can't remember exactly what I did.

The icons on the bottom use Rocketdock there's a ton of different skins you can get from there too.

The calender is from Rainlender

The weather in the top left uses Rainmeter and HUD.Vision

Someone else on here prob knows exactly how to set it all up.

If you deleted the icon for Dock Settings on there you can just right click anywhere on the Rocketdock and go to Rocketdock > Dock Settings.

Most of my wallpaper I get from /wg/ I'll post some more I have later but if you want it you can just pm me and I'll e-mail it to you.
