I've only ever seen stun resist on mobs that don't resist to it during earthsday or earth weather.. I just attribute it to a m.acc penalty caused by the weather/day. One of them was on a duo hakutaku's firaga =(.. didn't die though. Keep in mind that while the aforementioned theory makes it 1/8000 for a mage with high dark skill and stun's inherent acc, a NIN/DRK tank would have a much much higher chance at resist with 114 skill and a terra's... but I still have never seen it(speaking solely for mobs that don't build stun resistance.. sky, omega, ultima, etc) in hundreds/thousands of casts, though I often get very short duration stuns.

Anyone seen Full resists using elemental magic on normal mobs like this? Back when I was leveling BLM it happened to me once or twice. Cast like, fire III on a beetle and got resisted fully, no damage. It worked like an ahriman's magic shield where it said I just got completely resisted.

I've had one stun ever resisted vs. a pudding and it caught me totally by surprise. I've soloed more merits there than I'd care to admit and I ended up eating a Thundaga 3 and dying because of it. Had never seen it happen before and hasn't happened since. It was earth weather when it happened and I've always been kind of wary every time earth weather has popped since then, but so far I haven't had any more problems.

Never seen stun resisted on puddings. Most actions have a chance to fail, so it's not very shocking.

I guess I must be unlucky because I'm positive I've had this happen to me not once but twice. And yes, I have dark skill/m.acc macroed in my stun (though I go back and forth between that and haste every once in a while). Didn't think to check weather/day though.

Other people have reported this before but in 4 years of playing there's been 2-3 times, including once a few weeks ago, where I got a 50% resist on an ES nuke on some random XP mob....last time was an Aern I think

Never saw or heard of anyone getting a "... resists the spell" when nuking a beetle though. Maybe it still took damage and the chatlog just bugged out like that Cover/Resist! thing? The other night we fought Gurfurlur and according to the chatlog (no idea what happened on screen), he drew in one of his own Hilltroll Elite Guardthings '~'

Had a Too Weak Gigantobugard in Miseraux Coast resist dispel once >.> Only time I ever saw a resist on something not an Imp/undead (excluding Sarameya, since I wasn't capped on skill when I fought him, or even 75). It was Lightsday though. Never seen a total resist on elemental magic.
