    The 172.16.53.113 address is an SE address?

    Someone from my LS posted it on our forums and I was very suspect of it, noscripted it up before I even clicked it because it did not match the link on the FFXI main web page when I went there.

    they probably consider campaign changes content. but who knows if the new NMs will be worth killing.

    and new weapon skill quests is new content depending on how time consuming they are. it's not like every patch adds something like ZNM/Einherjar/Salvage.

    Consequently tax rate will be adjusted by definition just means that it's being adjusted (either raised or decreased) because of the minimum wage increase. Majority of people have a negative cognition to the word "Consequence" but that's also very incorrect. The word simply means it can be a good or bad adjustment. It's just most of us are predispositioned to think of the word as negative, but from a foreign translation it's actually a proper word for positive adjustments too.

    It's the fact that "Stratagems" are Grimiore Books (or at least pages within them) themselves... why didn't anyone get it? lol Arts just flips the different selections of Grimiores one uses. Merit Grimiore, then the recasts for each Strategem should go down, I'm certain.

    seems like a fun update, but the meat of it is the lv sync feature. I hope everything scales correctly
    Level Sync (and all the low-level changes): to SE for lowering the entry bar for low-level players.
    lvl down is own.
    I have a bad feeling about the picture for the Level Synch Status window.
    It isn't showing a sub job in there.

    It's a private address, usually for internal use only. It means this is the internal address of the server behind the firewall. They forgot to change the internal IP address to www.playonline.com in the link so it could be globally accessible.

    Only in certain circumstances. Requoting the relevant bits:

    The following conditions will cause Level Sync to disengage automatically, for either all or individual party members.

    * The party leader disbands the party.
    * The designee leaves the party.
    * The party leader or designee leaves the area.
    * You leave the Level Sync party.
    Soon as you drop from the group, your level instantly returns to normal.

    And yeah, I agree with you about the easy-to-get-xp thing. Just pointing out how it could be used. I'm sure the playerbase will find some ways to abuse this.

    Edit: On second thought, I may be reading this wrong. At first it sounded like an instant thing in certain circumstances, but that "automatically" thing could just be the start of the 30 seconds happening. Treating this as just speculation for the moment. We'll know in a few hours.

    When the pld drops with hate, he'll take the mob with him and the party won't be able to beat on it.

    Is this a cop out from SE? They are afraid of future litigation regarding players damaging their health during 16 hour fights with Pandemonium Warden and Absolute Virtue. Rather than making the monster more sensible to kill they just penalize us with making it disappear after 2 hours. Maybe the update notes are incomplete or mistranslated from the Japanese notes? I don't know. But it would be a nice surprise to find out that AV and PW have been altered so that they are commonly killable in the 2 hour time frame without resorting to a horde of DRKs. It would be even more surprising to find out that after holding them for 2 hours, they disappear, yet items from them appear in the loot pool! That's kind of a stretch and maybe we don't want that to be possible since it completely decreases the rarity value of the items.

    Meh. Like someone said earlier where's the bloody content. The new quests, ws quests sound fun but that's like it. Hopefully the Stronghold NM battle is doable with 6 and not obscenely difficult or a pain in the ass. It could be fun. Maybe going over all of the equipment to balance in level sync took up their time or something.

    Imagine a boy of about 6 years old. We'll call him Tommy. Tommy's dad gives him a ball to play with, one of those big red rubber ones kids play kickball with.

    Tommy can't really handle the ball well. He can roll it around but that's about it. A bit later his dad checks up on him.

    Dad: How's the ball going Tommy?

    Tommy: Ok, but I can't really do anything with it.

    Dad: Have you tried throwing it?

    Tommy: How do you do that?

    Dad: Let me show you. *he takes the ball and casually bounces it off the wall back to Tommy*

    Tommy: Wow that's cool. *tries throwing the ball but it slips out of his hands*

    Dad: No no, not like that, here. *picks up the ball and bounces it again* Do it like I did.

    Tommy: Ok *hauls back and throws the ball at the wall as hard as he can, it bounces off at hits him square in the face, knocking him down and bloodying his nose*

    Dad: No no, not like that. Here, just play with this instead. *hands Tommy a nerf ball and takes the red one away* Oh, and I'm taking that back in two hours. Have fun!
