+5 summoning skill? Seriously? I suppose I should have expected any form of justification from people who already had one, but +5 SMN skill doesn't have that big of an impact. It's nice, yes, but an extra -1 perp, plus the ability to up your avatars damage fairly nicely beats it out, IMO. I'm interested to see what numbers I can put out now, with fully merited Avatar magic attack, fully merited Thunderstorm(or Netherblast), and this weapon.

Avatar magic pwnage > +5 smn skill. Bahamut's staff is still nice and easier to get(and thus why it's weaker), but if I had Nirvana, I wouldn't even macro it in at this point, except for perhaps a ward buff.

Even fully merited and with Nirvana, avatar magic is still going to suck ass.

Reviewing the dialog from the NPC in Muckvick's that starts the JS-WS quest... it looks like you have to use the weapons inside Nyzul Isle to accumulate "energy" (killing mobs? using WS? simply meleeing?) That sucks! lol!

That's what i gathered too. Could be worse; though we have no clue how much of what we have to do. im praying for not a full 0-100.

I'm going to guess unlocking the WS will require you to have a 100 disc and/or runic key based on the dialogue.

2) Take it to Lower Jeuno.
3) Start the quest with the WS NPC.
4) Do WSs? Or get points like with normal WS quests?
5) Return it to him to check on your progress.
6) Eventually get your WS.

you need to have the floor100 weapon to quest the new weapon skills.

Do we have any evidence one way or another if you'll be able to use the new weapon skills when using a weapon that is NOT the Nyzul Weapon in some form or another? It wouldn't be terribly uncharacteristic of SE to require you to keep using, say, the Vorpal Sword (or Murgleis) in order to use Death Blossom.

And, in last update, weren't there a few stages of those weapons introduced, similar to the stages in the Dynamis relics? Maybe I'm just smoking crack on that, but it wouldn't surprise me at all to require you to have one of the weapons in that sequence to use the new WS.

Man, seriously... going to have runs going on just for a group of 6 to kill/ws/sc on every mob they can on each floor. That's going to be weird.

Uhhh, nothing there says you have to use it in Nyzul? It is saying that if your key is at floor 100, you will have an easier time unlocking it than if you are at floor 20? Which they said previously would be the case...

Well even tho it doesn't proc a lot I would take the Koenig Shield on Behe and cerb for the Beast Killer, but if the new shield looks good ill probly change it up and run it on all other HNM the 20 HP is nice add like the others have said already
