All the relic stats also affect the puppet it seems. Head is Regen, Feet are MAB+5% etc. All good for macroing when the puppet casts a spell or for then you're idling/resting.
I'm just over the moon they don't have +MP or +MAB on the master's pieces, really.

It looks like the multi-hitting nature only exists as an Aftermath effect, meaning you'd have to use one of the new weaponskills to get it.
So this would mean a few things:
- The duration of the Aftermath effects could be short. If its anything like Relics, durations of Aftermath effects might be based on TP.
- You may or may not have to use a WS that sucks to activate it.
- Unknown as to whether or not you'll get the Aftermath effect if you miss the weaponskill.
