Well, something ive noticed is SE seems to want COR to be more of a DD then a support job with the new items.
COR was lacking a lot of Ranged Attack gear to make it more of a DD for endgame. To many things COR was forced to go /Mage more since their DMG wasnt all that great.
Relic hands are the best thing to TP in now. 5 less acc then CFG but, snapshot, and 2 AGI is nice.
They added some nice acc to some pieces as well. So it looks like they see that people do infact melee for TP on cor.
As far as COR AF+1, Looks like ill get Body first, then feet, then head.
Seeing all these blus complain about thier free +5 blu skill head, and free SH with refresh body just goes to show why SE doesn't work hard to give us nice shit.
They get treated the same way giving us nice stuff as if they fucked up, so why wud they bother to?
So, COR AF+1:
Head: Need it. Would have gotten it for inventory purposes anyway, but it's a great WS piece.
Body: Nice, but I'll stick with alternating between Pahluwan and Denali. That, and I'm 3/3 on Skadi body...I'm sure I'll fish that gil up eventually.
Hands: Stoneskin macro! Not really.
Legs: Not really any better than War Brais +1 for Quick Draw; worse than Denali. Worse than Pahluwan/Skadi for WS/melee.
Feet: REQUIRE. I'll still use Skadi for running and Enkidu for melee.
COR AF2:
Head: Obviously want it for the effect; will stick with something else for WS.
Body: Want it for the effect; competes with Denali/Skadi for WS (COR STR is so deficient).
Hands: Meh
Legs: Bleh
Feet: Okay for meleeing for TP...I guess. I'll stick with Enkidu.
I want to learn more about the BRD and COR weapons before deciding :/
Edit: Holy shit @this:
FU Buccaneer's Belt.Commodore Belt
DEF:4 STR+4
Ranged Accuracy+8 Ranged Attack+5
Lv70 COR
i don't think anyone with 75 pup qualifies as "in their right mind"
Just a heads up, I'm mirroring all the dat mining information on my blog over at http://kimiko-ffxi.1up.com
actually. this probably breaks hagun's hold on samurai everywhere.
check this:
hagun fTP 1.875
new three-hit (worst case) 0.5 1.0 1.0 => 2.5
fTP bonus to damage will only apply to first hit (see: rampage, pentathrust, etc) so hagun's TP bonus effect will be negligible.
what becomes the best weapon (other than a relic or mythic) with this is up in the air, but this + a presumably beatable AV has big implications...
edit: of course, this assumes that the weaponskill has a decent wsc mod and isn't inaccurate. if the mod totally blows (str 10% or something) then hagun style y/g/k may still be stronger overall. and if it's inaccurate...
Gonna make all those DD rdm's happy. "I'm just helping out the blm's". -.-'Death Blossom
Delivers a threefold attack that lowers target's magic evasion. Chance of lowering target's magic evasion varies with TP. Murgleis: Aftermath effect varies with TP.

Buffalo's are back? :D
Weeee!
Also: since noone commented, Weapon + Earring sets go! Sparth + Supremacy Earring, Str, Attack, and 1% haste to boot, wonder how much + Str and Att it will wind up being.
I don't have much to say and I haven't really looked through alot of the other armor, but the Corsair AF2 set as a whole really disappoints me. The only piece I can see me using is head. Depending on how much that body piece adjusts random deal I dont see me carrying around another piece for a 20 min JA.

Uhhh, thats Hagun Y/G/K FTP...
this new WS has damage varies with TP, meaning that what you said may be at 100 TP, but what's important is the scaling:
100TP: .5, 200TP: 1.0, 300TP: 1.5
100TP: .5, 200TP: .75, 300TP: 1.0
100TP: .75, 200TP: 1.5, 300TP: 2.25
It really depends on that layout. On the first, Hagun would still be a 20% increase in WS damage (exactly the same it is right now). On the 2nd, it would be 10%, on the 3rd it would actually be 27%.
Too soon to tell, this could be a buff, or a nerf to Hagun.

Sounds like another pick and choose set.
I might do Feet first. I dunno, all 3 pieces are really good imo.
Yeah, Denali body would likely be better, but I seem to have a hard time getting a group together to even get to floor 80. Hopefully after the update, it will be easier.
