Adjustments have been made to Jailer of Love, Absolute Virtue (and pets), and Pandemonium Warden (and pets) in areas such as HP value and behavior.
Pandemonium Warden and Jailer of Love will now vanish two hours after appearing.
The spawn rate for Absolute Virtue has been increased to 100%. In addition, Absolute Virtue will now vanish two hours after the appearance of the preceding Jailer of Love.

Was just thinking about Sylvrdragon's post myself, and figured that since they said "in areas such as HP value and behavior.", maybe it's time to re-test some of the better theories, anyway.

well, i was @ Excellence AV fight playing w/ local Aerns. killed MNK mob, and right as BLM aern repops in his place, he uses manafont and starts spamming meteor. possible this is no coincidence?

Is this true? Because in all 12 pages i've read so far..... NOBODY has mentioned ANYTHING about killing the area aerns and the'yre relation to regen/behavior of AV.

Obviously further testing needs to be done.... but has anyone tried it yet?

In short, yes it was tried on previous attempts. No i'm not going to find the post, searching AV threads makes my brain hurt.

Maybe (read: not likely) i'll get bored and try and make a compendium of useless fucking knowledge from these, but they are pretty much what your going to find on the subject anywhere.

OK. I'm going to throw this out there because... well, I love the attention.

Squeenix said this was approximately a 10 hour fight, correct? There are 8 elements. Light, Dark, Fire, Water, Lightning, Earth, Wind, Ice. Each elemental day takes about 53 minutes. Perhaps we're supposed to keep the JOL up for eight hours, spamming nukes and skillchains on it that match the elemental day. Then kill around the eighth hour. Then Absolute Virtue takes about 2 hours to kill after that. Anyone desperate enough to test this one out?

Wabo on unicorn had all 3 aerns killed as they popped, he was still going rape mode consistently.

Probably means nothing, and was dumb luck, but as we were killing a rdm aern once, he used chainspell.

That's a great idea, except you're forgetting the 2hour time limit from the time JoL pops since it has been found out that JoL and AV are actually one in the same just different "phases" per se.

They seem to think that we can't handle the large amount of HP because of his regen but they.. just.. don't.. get.. it..

Something else is it seems there were a couple SV, one BW etc...
Maybe you have to use the 2HRs AV has used so far that fight:
If it used 1 BW, 2 SV, 1 PD, 1 CS, 1 MF then you have to use 1 BW, 2 SV, 1 PD, 1 CS, 1 MF.

Because the regen and HP is what makes AV hard, right? Nothin' to do with all that Manafont and Meteor stuff. Or the incredibly fast attack speed. Or the fact he can chainspell tier4 -gas without taking a break.

Nope, it's obviously got to do with the regen by SE.

Anyways, not getting deep into this, I never got to do much sea before I went through my forced retirement.

correct me if i'm wrong, but wasn't the text for AV using (or was it readying, i forget) his 2 hrs found in the string table of the zone and contained a line for every 2 hr he had? this seems to imply that the difference in text is intentional and there are 2 different triggers for AV to use his 2 hr but one was backdoored in. this would seem to me to be vaguely similar to say, the mannequin pumps NM who will "pause to catch his breath" though the way AV behaves is obviously very markedly different.

It's gonna have to be zerged now. If 2 kc drks can get it to 84% have another TP burn alliance (out of range) standing by for the next attempt after they get raped.

I don't care if that's the way SE intended it's the most plausible way so far. Due to the hp/regen nerf maybe can be killed before bene.

I believe we killed 3 possibly 4 sets of Wyvnavs on our attempt

I think he meant Ru'Phuabos on JoL, not wynavs on AV.
