I'm sure people have begun hunting down their optimal Wind-resist build already now that this is semi-realistic...

    How to Enfeeble Absolute Virtue
The regen effect will be cut in half by defeating as many of the Ru'phuabos, Qn'xzomits, and Qn'hpemdes summoned by the Jailer of Love as possible. In addition, using an elemental based attack that corresponds to the current day of the week (i.e. using Fire spells on Firesday) will stop the remaining regen effect.

question for excellence. when you were killing off jol's pets what nukes were you using on them and what day was it? ie did you kill pets with element of the day?

Anyone trying AV needs to still do the few things we know work. Killing JoL's regen only kills half of AV's. Remember, you need to only nuke AV with the element of the current day to kill AV's remaining regen. Incorporate shadowbind on the SP abilities that AV uses that you can't handle. Fealty will make meteor a non issue for your plds and everyone else needs to get out of range. Shadows need to be up to absorb comet. Need shell V, magic def and/or wind resist gear, baraero and bodies to absorb aeroga.

Now a thought occurred to me after reading how AV benedictioned after he regened two percent in last night's attempt. Is it possible AV is more likely to bene after regening? This would explain quite a few things. There was a noticeable reduction in AV using bene in the testing that occurred after the video release. This was also the first time testing was done after people were successfully killing AV's regen. Would also explain SE's constant insistence on killing AV's regen being key. Could also explain that cryptic "speed is wrong" comment, meaning you have to do constant damage and not let him ever regen. It could also all be coincidence and regen has nothing to do with benediction. It's worth testing though. Anyhow, killing his regen through both steps should be part of every AV attempt.

I'd have to agree that he could feasibly be zerged with his lower hp, but it would take more firepower than most ls have. What is the exact number of KC drks needed? Idk. But we'd probably agree that 3 full alliances of KC drks back to back would do the job. Probably 2 alliances could. Probably 1 could. Maybe 6-10 KC drks could. So somewhere between six and 3 alliances of KC drks can zerg AV. Finding enough KC drks in one ls to figure out the exact number is the problem. But if you do have a large zerg setup and want to try, it might work like this: Hold and nuke AV with current element of day until his regen is just about completely stopped. Have your zerg ready to go at a moment's notice. Once his regen is gone, wait until he uses his next 2 hour. You usually get at least 90 secs- 2 minutes between SPs. So zerg as soon as he uses a two hour after regen is dead. You have at least 90 secs to do 65kish damage, much longer if his next 2 hour is something like EES. Now that I think about it, it really should be no more difficult than zerging kirin in 90 secs. But in that case, I'm sure something in my thinking must be wrong. Good luck to those trying next.

Going back to the thing about AV's regen~

Way back in the day when lolSky was messing around with Jailer of Love, we found that its regen did not fully vanish until at least 45 pets had been killed, although it was probably around 54(which is exactly twice the number list in the dat files). There may be a direct correlation. We were also doing much more damage during the earlier attempts, I also did a Chainspell Banish session with the Obi equipped when it popped so that could have also contributed. It's hard to say really.

Killing JoL's regen only kills half of AV's.

Have these things been proven, or are these guys just talking out of their asses? I don't remember reading anything that suggests either.

That first quote is a verbatim quote from SE.

I'm going to assume you've never fought AV Ramses, and ignore your post, except for one thing.

Last night we fought on lightsday, darksday, depop and pop again on fire/earth day.

Light: we used lots of dia, banish, etc. we figured his regen was about done, so we used blizzard, thunder, etc. Got him to about 91% before meteor, and never was his regen completely gone, he'd always bump up a tick then back down, so we'd use a ton more dia/banish, but no matter how many we used we could never get rid of regen completely.

Dark: Same, but 83% this time.

fire/earth: coudnt even touch his regen, it was retarded. used bliz/thunder at end when only 1 tank left (we were giving up) got it to 96%, used fire/stone before, couldnt get it below 98%.

People probably skipped right over that part since they were worried about 2hrs.. Stop regen and there shouldn't be much to worry about.

I think a lot of that is due to the fact that everyone was kind of exhausted during the second AV. Our damage output was pitiful compared to what it was before. But yeah... the regen never vanished completely, although it sometimes seemed like it did in previous attempts.

Which is all fine and good except we now have to kill JoL as quickly as possible.

So it seems like, kill 45~54 JoL Pets -> Kill JoL -> Fight AV with nukes based on Day + Keep Wind Resist up.

Does anyone else think that they are using the word Enfeeble wrong? I view enfeeble is slow/para/elegy/blind/silence.

I dont view killing regen as enfeebling.

I saw someone say earlier slow2 landed. But I tried ES slow/para/elegy when he was @ 100% and it resisted.

Maybe if you kill his regen then you CAN enfeeble him?

Hmm, couple of things. SE did say you can kill almost all of AV's regen, leaving the inference that he will always have at least a little regen. I am almost positive that AV's regen will increase again if you start using other nukes other than element of the day. This was tested. AV's regen was just about completely gone, a few nukes other than element of day were used and his regen got stronger. Not sure if the same thing happens by simply not nuking at all after regen is at lowest point. I'm not clear from what you said if you only nuked element of day or not on that second attempt. If you killed enough JoL pets and exclusively nuked element of day on AV and he still had large regen... then yeah, that is bs. No clue what to do about that.

We did most of our damage with blizzard on lights/darksday for those first attempts, so the idea that the regen gets stronger by nuking with a different element seems mostly bogus.

is AV's regen really the big issue? Or are you all just assuming that locking his regen will nullify others atks of his (such as 2hr spam, ect...). Maybe I missed it mentioned earlier (I havent followed the thread post-by-post), but the big issue still seems to be staying alive over anything else... so what will locking his regen do if you can't survive long enuff to kill him, or if you do get lucky then he can still just bene back to full multiple times.

What if you don't? What if AV really aint a 1 hr long fight? If you can make him weaker anything is possible.
