to SA: after the red bracelets came out, did it 2hr at all? jackyl has effects off so it doesn't show the 2hr animation.
I don't agree. The amount of time it takes to prepare for a fight like Kirin, especially if you used to more than just a zerging strategy, can take a rather long time. And although the fight can be done with limited two-hour usage, for most LS's the number of times you can zerg a Kirin is limited just by raw damage potential from the number of two-hours available.
There are also other limitations, for example, you can only do one Bahamut2 with a zerg every two hours. The fight itself is time limited shorter than that, so if you can kill it regularly you can do it far more often without having to go back or wait two hours for the abilities to recharge.
This is now straying away from the discussion at hand. The point I am trying to make is that I don't think anyone would be hurt by finding a strategy that doesn't require such a high number of DRK KC's, even the LS's that have managed to beat AV. You can always use KC DRK's with a normal strategy also, which would provide a measure of safety even for those that can already beat AV with a zerg.
Looks like we found the right speed? ;oOriginally Posted by Square Enix

I don't really know what your point is here. Are you just trying to pick a fight? It's pretty much irrelevant to the subject at hand. My point is that KV has to be killed very quickly, and that is all. KV is just not comparable to AV, as evidenced by what is needed to kill KV and what is needed to kill AV at this time.
Like I said before, I am not debating the morality of the way to kill AV. I am just looking for a way to kill AV without KC DRK zerging.
I heard a few mentions about melee damage other than drks being weak. What conditions were those weak numbers tested under? Its fairly easy to give an entire zerging alliance 4 cor rolls and 6 soul voiced songs. How about Angon?
If say a Sam had 4 cor rolls, 6 soul voiced songs and Angon was on, would his numbers still be as bad as people are saying on AV?
How about tomahawk? does that affect AV at all reducing any special defense?
66k damage is not outside the reach of a fairly well geared/merited alliance on any other mob. So the question really comes down to if we can make normal melee hit closer to their peak numbers.
