I've seen it open up with Manafont on multiple occasions, before any real damage was done. I've also seen it do Benediction for 5 HP. It seems random to me, but by all means.

I dont post here much but I think thats a really well thought out and viable idea.
Most of the ideas people have are well thought out, but does any of the evidence ever fit with these well constructed theories?
Like I said, probably if you hold it for longer than 225 seconds (Which isn't really that long considering it takes most people a minute or two to get their shit together in the scramble) without any damage, he'll get pissed off too. Doing nothing at all also triggers said 2HR's. But I haven't seen any AV attempts recently open with any sort of Chainspell or Manafont. Have you guys? (Seriously tell me if you have)
We didn't hold it for 225 seconds or any such thing. It literally used Manafont as its very first 2 hour after JoL was dead. I actually have some log files where AV did Manafont maybe 10 seconds after the alliance that was fighting it engaged(they had done 0 damage).
Are these files or recollections from the past week?
is it me or from the video, if seems like if you zerg him down fast enough he enters a sort of jam-lock phase where he switches between his different modes, rendering him unable to do anything for at least 10seconds? its a short amount of time but takes up a considerable portion of the entire zerg fight.. no?
It's a natural thing. He does it at 59% then again at 19% I believe. Aern's get glitched like that all the time when they put bracelets on.

Spoiler: show
So yeah.. before this recent patch, although really those 'speed' comments came from before the patch as well.
This is very well thought out and makes a lot of sense, I had posted some thoughts about the kill speed link in the old AV thread but it never really went anywhere, however knowing that there is another mob that reacts to damage like this is encouraging.
Hopefully we'll be able to see some testing soon.
I appreciate the log Mojo, even if it is pre patch. However they did say they nerfed Behavior (which nobody has noticed) and maybe they cleaned up some glitchy type stuff where he would do Manafont right out of the gate.
But I believe it's pretty obvious, no matter how many Fealty/run away strategies you can think of, nobody is meant to survive Manafont Meteor. There is definitely a way to prevent it.
I'd love to see your ls give your strategy a try Belkin, that sounds very difficult and like it does require a lot of skill. Can't wait to see how it holds up.
My take on the entire AV thing is this: We've been satisfied now that we've (as a community) taken him out, and that's great. But I can kind of feel that we all want to know the "intended" way to kill AV. I hope we do find it. People are actually excited about this mob again. I think I can speak for a lot of people when I say that most of us had just given up on AV. Now that it's been beaten to a bloody pulp, there is renewed interest, which is great because we may just figure out what makes it click.
The next few months of testing on AV are gonna be pretty exciting.
Np. There definitely has to be something that you can do or else it would be impossible. Sorry to be such a debbie downer, lulz.
I hate to say it again and again, but the secret likely lies in whatever correlation there is between AV and followings its two hours with your own. It's quite blatant that's what they're trying to convey in the video.
Not sure which is bigger news Kanican soloing Bhaflau Remnants and soloing LBC or AV being taken down...
What Belkin posted makes a lot of sense... And the whole Patience is a Virtue would totally be some shit that would come from SE just to piss everyone off =P.
I can't wait to see how this goes when AV tries it out. Hurry up on that pop set, I will be on the sidelines watching!
I understand that he does this, but im saying that it is something that works even more to KC DRKs advantage... which follows through with the concept of extreme zerging. The fiercer the zerg (more DRKs) the more dmg you're doing in the same amount of time, but beyond just that, it gets easier because he will 'act less' in a greater part of that time spent zerging due to the form changes...
btw. i love your theory i think its pretty sound. Hopefully it will lead to AV finally being solved and people having non KC drk options to kill him as well. I mean.. KC drk is fine and all, but not all LS have that many KC drks, nor would they wish to always do it that way.
i'm also hazarding a guess that the kill speed changes when he changes forms.. perhaps it becomes more lenient
