The best part of the run was killing all Hydra(excluding the AttNM's) and getting all time extensions. Very fun run.
Hey, hey, hey
Ashlee Simpson is fine when she's blonde![]()
To hell with a bj from Jessica Simpson so many better names to throw out there. She seems like the type that would be like ooo ice cream sounds good right now as she gets pounded from behind . Just seems that ditzy to me
Ya, because when I am banging Jessica Simpson, I am thinking "GOD I love how smart this chick is".
Thats like wanting a hydra haubert for the 20 mp.
Also, as to the actual question on drops:
GO for the fucking gold. Hydra drop rates seemed to have been boosted a good amount too.
Dynamis Xarc
We did do Dynamis Lord so that took away some farming time.
Thief
Red Mage x3 (1 from NM)
Dark Knight x2 (1 from NM)
White Mage x3
Warrior
Corsair
Ninja x2
Monk
Samurai
Dragoon
Shadow mantle, 16 AFs, 3 100cs. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet
Excluding our last, post-update run, we've done Dynamis-Xarcabard 29 times in the last year. In that time we've averaged almost 4 AF per run, but had:
1 run with 0 AF (interestingly, the same run Izzy received his fragment)
2 runs with 1 AF
4 runs with 2 AF
7 runs with 3 AF
Other than Vanguard Eyes, we cover everything with the maximum possible Treasure Hunter, including the Dynamis Lord. Depending on how well we manage our time, we're able to clear between 85 and 153 Kindred before we stop for the Dynamis Lord.
Of the 26 runs in that time frame where we cleared the Dynamis Lord, we received neither a Shadow Mantle nor a Shadow Ring 11 times. It happens a lot. Also, I've never seen a DL drop nothing; in fact all my DLs have dropped Ring or Mantle. No double drops and no coin-only drops.
It also only takes us about 45 minutes to clear the Dynamis Lord (time for Vanguard Dragons + Ying/Yang + job changes + re-entry + waiting for weakness + kill), which while certainly could be time used to farm more Kindred, isn't that big of a deal.
I agree that many people will be completely unaware of how fortunate they are with the change to the Northlands and CoP zones' drop rates, but that mentality already exists with new members that join an established, successful linkshell.
Getting more AF is great, but the best part from this update overall for a group that has been in these areas a long time already is the VERY noticeable increase in morale and momentum (allowing us to kill even faster and even more as a result) because we are getting things to drop instead of wondering if we'll walk out with virtually nothing yet again.
Edit: To keep the post somewhat relevant, we received 12 AF--with far, far too many SMN--and a full Dynamis Lord drop on our first post-update Xarcabard last week. A record for us for Xarcabard, by far, which would have been easily more had we not lost 30 minutes on a series of wipes/recoveries.
Dyna-X tonight here:
MNK x2

or something the like ( thf won't drop still! )
I remember many a bcd run where we'd clear about every damn mob in the zone & for all our effort only currency drops. Yeah real fucking awesome huh?
75 RDM for 4 years and it took me 3 of those years to even get 4/5 on relic minus the hat and a 75 THF for 3 years and still missing both icelands pieces. I'm happy the droprate got upped. It was way overdue and I'm going to be sure that the server will probably shutdown and crash the moment the relic hat falls into my inventory. lol
I'm mostly irritated about how my HNMLS I was in since the dawn of time dissolved about a week before this update... Now I'm a greenhorn in another LS that actually has other people with 75PUP watching all the Pantin gear go to people who simply have the points for it.
It's times like right now that I wish I had full access to the linkshell database so I could pull stats like this out my butt.
It raises an interesting question to Wizerd though: what, exactly, are you doing differently than us? A TH4 THF in every alliance? Make the THF go /whm and diaga everything? I don't really see how the droprate between our LS would be so dramatically different, except your LS seems to go with 1/2 to 2/3 of the number of people in our runs.
Last night: Sandy, 16 AF2s (I didn't keep a list this time), 1 100.
Teorem, what I don't understand about this paragraph is why you guys switch jobs in the first place. If it only takes you 45 minutes to clear everything out, switch jobs, re-enter, and kill DL, it would take you max 25 minutes to clear everything out, and just kill DL if you entered the run with jobs DL-ready.
From what I've observed on your website, and based on what Halon said, you generally enter Xarcabard with over 36 players. Sept 17 for example, you 48 according to your website. When we kill DL, we do it with 34-36 and no job changes, and it's overkill, and we have nothing special (unless you count M.kris and Ridill as special, but I think you guys probably have access to those).
I don't think we really do anything different... We have one THF with TH4 hitting mobs, generally. I don't offhand TK or use AA when another THF is there. In non-Xarc areas, I have one TH4 pulling and one TH4 hitting the mobs. We haven't done DL in a while though, and we consistently kill at *least* 130 demons in Xarcabard, with our record now being 207.Originally Posted by Halon50
We take time to switch much of our support and a couple tanks to melee jobs, add another BRD, and have a couple RDMs to change from /BLM to /DRK. The alliances we use for the Dynamis Lord cannot function through the zone prior to that due to the sheer lack of support. It makes clearing the Dynamis Lord much faster and far more consistent than using our balanced alliances, at the cost of less than 20 minutes (job changes + unweakening time). We can usually take a couple specials getting through Stun (not common, but it happens) and still finish the job.Teorem, what I don't understand about this paragraph is why you guys switch jobs in the first place. The rest of the time taken involves clearing things I wouldn't have us do if we were just farming and ignoring the Dynamis Lord.
Everything I listed was compiled using the information all members have access to, the Run List right off the main page. It's times like right now that I wish I had full access to the linkshell database so I could pull stats like this out my butt.
The biggest problem I have is convincing people that we have Treasure Hunter sufficiently distributed to cover everything we're fighting. I almost always have a THF pulling. If we're double targeting, I usually have a THF/BLM with Assassin's Armlets and a Thief's Knife using Sleepga on everything on the pull or have a THF in each group. If we only have one THF (uncommon), I don't make them target to ensure they're able to attack everything.I don't think we really do anything different... We have one THF with TH4 hitting mobs, generally. I don't offhand TK or use AA when another THF is there. In non-Xarc areas, I have one TH4 pulling and one TH4 hitting the mobs.
Yet when things don't drop much in the first hour, I get no less than ten /tells from people asking me if they can change to THF so they can increase the drop rates.
When I say 85 Kindred, that's the low-ball, lots of stupid wipes, we-fucked-up-bad-this-run number that we are guaranteed to clear. We haven't had any problems clearing 127 +/- 10 Kindred lately, and probably would have gotten 165ish last run had we not lost so much time.We haven't done DL in a while though, and we consistently kill at *least* 130 demons in Xarcabard, with our record now being 207.
With the enhanced city drop rates, I'm wondering if it's viable to farm a cop zone for a better than average chance at a city af. Darn bard's roundlet's the bane of my existence
