I've got runic key too and I'm captain rank (if it matters) and all 4 WS that i've unlocked so far required exactly 250 points.. how do u manage to make it lower

Weapon: Death Sickle
Points Required: ~360 solo weaponskills, 1355 points worth of darkness (about).

I was going to see if they 2250 was right for floor 61, but either my counting was way off (unlikely) or it was less, for some reason.

so this worked? i'm captain and floor 60 on disk-just wondering for my gkt. been wsing all morning.

I honestly don't know. But i kept track with a spreadsheet exactly with the number of points i was building up. Next weapon i get i'm gonna try using full askar (i was using 2/5) and see if it makes a difference in number of ws points needed. I know it probably won't. But seeing as somehow i knocked off 50 points from everyone else. I might as well try it. It can't hurt.

Edit: Btw, I'm only SM. So i'm thinking captain doesn't change anything.

Just posting my own experience, but 500 WS with Runic Disc @ 96, FL rank, got Insurgency. WS flat appeared in my list. Unsure if I'll get another with 500 points or if what's being said, it'll be double that...but we'll see. Insurgency's damage was pretty damn good on crabs in Kuftal, and Insurgency > Shark Bite = Light.

It's either STR or STR+VIT from my very basic testing.

I expected the str. I did a ws in tp gear for comparrison and it only hit for 750, when i changed into normal RR tp gear for KJ though it knocked it up significantly. The interesting thing was with mighty strikes (but no DA procs) i only hit for 966, where i was hitting for closer to 1100 with 1 DA proc without 2hr. Could just be the level of mobs I was fighting (TW's in sauromugue).

I haven´t seen this confirmed yet. All I saw is some JP mentioned/thought/assumed or w/e
that it COULD be 5k points (250points/5 floors).
As long as this isn´t confirmed: Fuck that.

1point for ws 3 for lv 2 5 for lv 3.. I know how to add and used a spreadsheet to keep track of shit. They both broke at 200 points. most of which were all solo ws anyway. Thanks though.

Weaponskill = 1 +1 point for each element of the closed skillchain. Right?

Has anyone tried before/after runic key? I started the quest at 96, then later last night I got my runic key. Hoping I dont have to stick out the 500. I have 4 weapons to unlock, this is gonna be brutal.

I totally misread that, yeah . Your formula does make sense then.
