WS Quest

Has anyone tried before/after runic key? I started the quest at 96, then later last night I got my runic key. Hoping I dont have to stick out the 500. I have 4 weapons to unlock, this is gonna be brutal.

People have posted earlier that if your progress increases your required point total does go down.

My friend tubesock broke his drk scythe today, he is FL rank, floor 91 data, took him 584 ws points.

So does anyone know the formula for WS points for which floor you're on (and rank?) ?
It's 250 (200?) for floor 100, and 5000 for floor 0?

500 for 91
Everything else hasn't been confirmed yet, so it's safe to assume it is an additional 250 points for every 5 floors prior to 96.

You could say its 250 for 100 and then it would be 500 for 96, etc (Moving all the numbers up one, and adding 5250 as the '0'). That would make the JP dude's first answer true (Was't it 5250?)

There is only one flaw I see, the last report of someone having floor 90 and needing 580 points to unlock

Perhaps it is 250 for runic, then +250 for not having it with each 5 floors below 95 requring and additional 80 points per 5?

Perhaps this is a closer model to what people have been experiencing then?

Floor 100 (/w runic key) = 250
Floor 95 = 500
Floor 90 = 580
Floor 85 = 660
With floor 0 = 2020 points

This is based on those who have claimed to of unlocked the WS with reported points and floors recorded on a disc

If anything we need more data from people with varying floor counts actually unlocking the WS.

I currently only have a floor 5 Disc (yay update?) and will post if I somehow unlock at 1940 ws points.

I'm not sure if anyone actually answered my question or not. Can't really scour the posts in detail right now, but... so say you've already started doing weaponskill points (1000 of them) and you're at like floor 21. If you start climbing, would the requirements progressively become lower?

If this is the case (250x5 floors), I am done with this game. Ive been doing nyzul now for seven months. Unfortunately, I wasnt one of the two people that was choosen to take their disc to 100. I have climbed two discs from 1-100 (two disc being needed for the silly system in place for the 100 boss fight prior to this update). I thought we were being ahead of the game, already collecting the weapons. But now, it means nothing since I would have to climb a third disc to 100. We had pretty much wrapped up nyzul minus a static of like 2-3 runs a week to finish getting a few weapons, so I have since joined a salvage group and most of my tags are needed for that. I am not willing to try to find spare time now to climb another disc or put in a high amount of points per new WS that I want(which was a long list). Seeing people in my static able to get a WS that I can not when I put as much work into it as them is too much for me.

So yet another disappointment and time wasted. 4.5 years of this game, 9 75s, it's finally time to call it quits.

You've grinded 9 jobs to 75, been grinding nyzel for 7 months... and this is enough to make you quit? Your a grinding champ, go put up w/ for 2 more weeks while working on ur latent during off moments when you get the chance. You, sir, have grinded too much of FF to be QQ-worthy of another 2~ week grind for 3 hrs a week

Cry more? This happened to A LOT of people. You still have a fuckton of Nyzul credits while your two friends most likely have none. You didn't come out of the whole thing with nothing.

Sch ws chains to gekko for darkness. Just got it just now and tested it.

Worked on SMN all day before maintenance, finally got it. Didn't have a partner except my avatar. Have runic key item, 250 points.

Garland of Bliss is freaking awsome. Can chain light but it looks fantastic. Does some decent damage to easy prey too. My best was 832 with melee gears.
