If this is the case (250x5 floors), I am done with this game. Ive been doing nyzul now for seven months. Unfortunately, I wasnt one of the two people that was choosen to take their disc to 100. I have climbed two discs from 1-100 (two disc being needed for the silly system in place for the 100 boss fight prior to this update). I thought we were being ahead of the game, already collecting the weapons. But now, it means nothing since I would have to climb a third disc to 100. We had pretty much wrapped up nyzul minus a static of like 2-3 runs a week to finish getting a few weapons, so I have since joined a salvage group and most of my tags are needed for that. I am not willing to try to find spare time now to climb another disc or put in a high amount of points per new WS that I want(which was a long list). Seeing people in my static able to get a WS that I can not when I put as much work into it as them is too much for me.

So yet another disappointment and time wasted. 4.5 years of this game, 9 75s, it's finally time to call it quits.

Because it is so hard to just go from 1 to 100 one more time right? It'll even count it for all your members, not just one.

I don't have enough energy to go back and find it, but I'm pretty sure someone posted a few pages ago that they had a 61F disc and it took them around 1700 ws points (it was a combination of darkness sc and a few hundred solo ws). It's still bad, but it might not be as bad as projected.

Points Required: ~360 solo weaponskills, 1355 points worth of darkness (about).

I was going to see if they 2250 was right for floor 61, but either my counting was way off (unlikely) or it was less, for some reason.

There has to either be another factor influencing the WSes needed, or skillchain points as we know them aren't factored into this. It seems inexplicable that you'd need 250 points on one weapon but more on another if you're at the same level of progression within nyzul. Maybe points are calculated based on something weird like the skillchain properties of the WS you use. I can't really explain why it would take someone else with a floor 96 disk 80 less points than mine did.

This probably isn't the case, but I thought I'd throw it out there if anyone wants to try it out or look into it.

Well I doubt you need double points for a 2nd weapon. I first broke my sch weapon less then 2 hrs ago then just now broke my thf weapon.

Has anyone done their full weapon with solo ws?

That might shed some light into whether the previously used ws points system holds true or not :<

I did about 30 solo ws on my Katana today and finished with a friend. Ended up finishing sooner then I expected but I think I didn't keep track perfectly imo. So yes, Solo WS count, if that's what you are asking.

When you learn a WS, you don't always have it in your menu right away. Often you need to blink your char or unequip to get the WS to appear. I think this may be what's happening with some of the more bizarre results.

Ok this is what happened to me.

Did a ton of ws points. Not sure how much because I'm too lazy to count. I had my smn staff + a 95 floor disc. I checked with the NPC and he said it's almost there. I did nyz later that day and got my runic key and I instantly had the WS available when I put the staff on.

Yeah that's been mentioned. While you progress through nyzul, the memory in your weapon is still there. Once your level clear in nyzul matches up to your ws point count itll unlock.

I heard people mentioning that it will probably happen, however no first hand experiences. Staff is terrible to get points on, and I still have blm and sch to do.

Ah ok well good to know. At least we have confirmation at this point.

I'm not real happy right now, seeing as i didnt have the runic key. Won't take me long to grind back up to 100, but it's the point of the matter. 5k+ points if you didnt happen to have a key before the update is...absurd. Par for the course as far as SE is concerned, though.
