just wait for your tags, are you guys nuts? unless you're grinding nice merit points with a friend, there's no reason to subject yourself to this. just work through nyzul, get a chance at some decent drops, have FUN?!? (because nyzul really is a blast most of the time), and then go unlock your weapon in a couple hours like i just did.

btw, rana looks dope as hell, but i doubt it's going to get more than its share of use based on prelims. only when i need it to close a chain, or if i feel like it for some random reason.

With current data, it seems the most likely number for 0 floors is 4000 weapon points, give or take 100 or so.

This situation is really messed up. Like so many other things SE does, they fix a mechanic of the game and act as if there were no time before the patch where it is enstated. If nyzul had been INTRODUCED with this system it would be great, but it wasn't and they shouldn't ignore the ppl that put forth effort before the change.

This reminds me of how messed up it was for the older players when they reduced the total amount of exp to get a job from 1-75. Alot of the players I know, including myself, effectively lost hundreds of thousands of exp, and potentially hundreds of hours of wasted playtime.

There have been many situations like this and it repeatedly drives home the fact that SE has no concept of how their playerbase plays their game, and is beginning to feel like they value new players more than existing players ( ideally, you strive to please both groups, or you lose players faster than you gain them.)

There aren't many players of my generation anymore (NA PC release, 811 days playtime on one char and 1277 days on a concurrent character) but I don't feel we're getting quite as much respect from SE as our loyalty deserves.

If you'd like to argue about my rant, i /welcome you, but try and keep it civil and, for the most part, on topic.

I was breaking the PLD sword along with my friend who was using WAR Gaxe. We were messing around with the SCs once we got our respective WS and

King's Justice -> Vorpal Blade = X
King's Justice -> Swift Blade = X
King's Justice -> Salvage Blade = X

King's Justice -> Atonement = Light, vice versa too

It's still ridiculously easy to get a runic key, just start hammering away at floors again.

I'm amazed when people are shocked to see ToAU-introduced content require *gasp* certain objectives completed in ToAU! Never saw that coming at all.

The required points seem to drop 250 every 5 floors you advance on your Runic Disc.
F0 = 5000 , F20 = 4000 , .... F90 = 500
I could be wrong.

I could understand 1500 ws points with a floor 0 disc, thats pretty annoying to do. But 5000 is just stupid.

You can always... get the weapon and use it going up to 100... in essence you would kill 2 birds with one stone. Get ws points in the assault and lower your quota at the same time as you get higher in floors @_@

While that did suck for some players, the same players also benefited from that fact when they decided to level other jobs..

But that's not the bigger issue here. I hope I'm not completely missing the point here because I'm so exhausted, but I can't really see a reason to feel *that* bad for people. Nyzul's been out for awhile. While SE did not come right out and say "the system would be like this", it became pretty easy to infer that having progress on a Nyzul disc would certainly benefit you by the time this update came out.

Trust me, I'm in the same boat as a lot of people with no Nyzuls completed. It's on me, I had the resources to organize a group long enough to at least make progress on the floors, but I opted to focus more on Salvage instead.

At the very least, they've made it easier to get multiple people to floor 100. There's also a chance that you can find a friend or two that have done Nyzul and might be willing to help you along (through their experience and familiarity with the level).

I've gotten 4 so far... and It was around there. I didn't bother counting after figuring out it shows up in the ws menu.
