Well, SE does indeed say that a "majority" of players will be able to obtain the weapon skills. I'd argue that a majority of players have a 20 floor or higher runic disc. You start out on Floor 1, that's not a fraction of players, that's all players.

As for weapons dropping in the starting floors, I assume they added them there so people with higher discs have incentive to redo lower floors.

The game is all about progression, it doesn't really make sense for something to only be 1/10th done and allow you to reach the goal. The quest itself tells you to venture deeper into Nyzul Isle.

actually I hardly know anyone with floor 20, I think we have one in my ls, because none of them were the disk holders, sure they farm floor 80+, but they got screwed on the initial design of this assault.

It is too bad the current format wasn't the one always in place.

People should share progress, imagine if only the person that bought the hourglass for dynamis was the one that got the clear. I think this is one of the few , if not only things in this game where you don't all progress together at the same level.

It would be cool if every time someone I knew got a relic weapon, I got one too, but it just doesn't work like that. =/

that is our design, nowhere it states that only one person can lot the currency. The playerbase decided to do this, not SE, everyone in dynamis has the same chance at getting a relic by design.

Everyone pitch in, everyone lots curreny, armor is by luck. When you beat the dynamis, everyone gets the clear.

The original design of nyzul island was poorly done, and SE realized this and changed it, which was great, I just feel bad for the people that put in the exact same effort only to end up at floor 0 while the leader is probably sitting on 5 new ws now, sure he spent tokens but there is no reason that it could have been designed that anyones tokens could be used.

Ok, so start over at Floor 1, guess what in 4 tags your disc is already at Floor 20, and so are the other 5 people.

You relate it to dynamis, as I said it's about progression. You beat the 4 cities, gain access to outlands. You beat the 3 CoP zones, you get access to Tav.

Well this is odd.

I have a level 81 disc was was going through the process of unlocking it. However when I got to 904 points (was at 899 then did a Darkness) Insurgency popped up.

No to doubt, but is your disc recorded up to exactly floor 81? If you wouldn't mind please double-check with Sorrowful Sage, because there's definitely something strange about 900 @ 81...it throws both my 200/5 floors and the 250/5 floors theories to the wind for something a good bit lower, which definitely doesn't jive with the other results so far and could only be explained by more wonderful exceptions...

Yup; access to floor 81. Completed 80 last night and was going to farm 1000 points then do 81-86 tonight.

Then Insurgency popped up at 904 points. It's as much of a WTF moment to me as it is to you.

people who did this post if you traded a wep to the guy? maybe starting the relic quest gives you a discount or something. it could be many things.

The only thing that opens up the quest is the base weapon you need, that doesn't mean you can complete the quest at your current status.

called a gm after know iv done 5000+ ws this is what i got. its better then some of you but im happy to see they know somethign is wrong with the quest(or that its to much) also he said to run a file check i dont know maybe that can be it? but i dont think so.

edit: So perhaps my embarassingly flaccid little Floor-6 Runic Disc might not hinder me from getting Stringing Pummel in the near future, if the fucking NMs put out... (4 whole runs of killing all NMs = PLD, RDM, WHM, SMN...)

Maybe there is something wrong with the quest, I don't know. But the theory that you need actual progression on your disc(Floor20+) to obtain the weapon skill is still valid.

2250 points confirmed for floor 55. i can't remember if it was mentioned, but i'm tired and don't feel like looking

i doubt this matters, but captain rank and toau missions finished.
