WS Quest

Shot in the dark but, assuming that all the "below 10Fs and over 5000 WSs" people have the quest unlocked (god help you if you don't), do you all have Runic Disc key item? For instance, to the person above with F5 disc and 7200 WS, had you already done some of those WSs before going up to F5, and if so, did you have the Runic Disc key item already, or did you get it when you went on the run. Maybe you need to at least have the disc (if only at F0) in order for the WS points to count.

yes, I took the disc before the 9/12 patch, took the quest right after the patch,
proceeded to level 5 on 9/13, and so far the BLU NPC keeps giggling at me with the nasty look.

The worst floors in Nyzul seem to be a pleasure compared to the insanity that is 5000+ WS points.

There is a not that secret trick to Nyzul; it's called not going with a pickup, but with a fairly static group. Having an experienced member helps. I've done both, and the difference is insane.

Also, really, really, really surprised we haven't seen any 'over 9000' jokes yet, unless I missed them. Zalshum, what does the weapon say about his weaponskill levels?

actually it is not less then 5000

700 crabs , ws twice on more then half so thast 1050*5 = 5250 and random 1000 ws. for 6250.

but truth is, most crabs i hit 2 ws on so points are probably more in the 7k range.

Either figure out how to communicate with your group or get another one. 1 floor should not ruin your run unless its something stupid like kill all with white magic and CC or some shit.

It was a trial run with random people to farm weapons. Static starts Sunday and I was bored /meh The higher lvl floor runs I do/did with random people work soo much better.

Ok here is another stab at a possible solution.

I got my disk day of patch, then i went up to floor 5 and got my h2h.

I then went and talked to npc (the politically incorrect npc) and got the quest, started doing my points in the past.

I did only one other nyzul island but only got to floor 9, failed but we exited so it recorded it to disk.

maybe after you start the quest you have to complete a 5 floor stage? (really taking a stab)

now i know i have points that were accepted on latent becasue the npc does say the second msg so the points accumulation must have started.

For order lamps the way we do it is:

Only 1 person calls out the order to avoid any confusion.

I put in the names of everyone into chat log and we activate in that order calling out when we've hit it. example:

Kakeshi, Pinson, Algus, Spruck, Hughes (in the case of 5 lamps)

Everyone will call out on when it lights, and off when it goes out.

If everyone says off, i cycle the order down 1 name, example:

Pinson, Algus, Spruck, Hughes, Kakeshi

I continue to do this until we start to get people saying that thier lamp is still on.

at the most it will take you as many runs through the order as their are lamps to lite, so a maximum of 5 runs through before you get it right. the sooner you get someone with a lamp still on, the less runs through it will take.

There are two different NPCs that will hold Nyzul weapons: Ghanraam (Salvage gear NPC) who will hold any number of weapons at a charge of one bronze piece per weapon retrievable at any time, and Abquhba (Assault rank-up and Mystic Weapon upgrade NPC) who will accept one weapon as part of the Mythic Weapon upgrade series of quests. If you trade him a different weapon you can get the old one back in exchange for the new one and reset the quest data. Any progress in the quest is lost.

Since you can't flag the Mythic Weapon quest without a Runic Key anyway, there's really no reason not to just pay 1 bronze imp. piece and store all the weapons you get. Just about everyone has wound up leveling a job they never planned to by now I would think.

3600 points confirmed for floor 40

so thats 450 difference per 5 floors.

so maybe below 60 it goes to 450 which means that at floor 0 its around 7200.

ANd possibly below 40 it even goes higher. If this is the case, Someone needs to fly over to SE headquarters and slap them upside the head, because that woudl be beyond unacceptable.

Hmm, and if you follow that formula to 20, then that puts it at 5000 ws points at 20 which matches what the gm said.

so my guess is, you need 5000 points at floor 20, and you must have floor 20 complete to obtain the ws. Makes sense since this is the first boss floor.

A GM told me that there are many requirments for the ws.

This just supports the idea I had that they wanted to 'force' participation in Nyzul Isle so that people couldnt leech weapons on floor 1 and just mindlessly plow their way to the new WSs.

Come now children, it is less painful to do our fun Nyzul content than the other path of horror we have laid out before you! Don't make our efforts seem unwanted!

well SE is famous for this, they have no clue what mmorpg means, to them it means massive mulitiplayer do what we want you do to role playing game.

Campaign is proof of that, you are not allowed to go on vacation, you much not stop doing campaign to try out the new content we added, if you do you will need alot more points to keep your medal.

i am.....i know it lowers your required ws points as you climb...but what if the restriction that GM mentioned requires your disk to have a floor20 record in the first place before any ws points even starts applying towards your weapon....seeing as some people with lvl10 disk has already done 7200+ ws points still havent gotten their WS yet =/

What SE should do is not allow people who dont have these requirements, such as a certain floor saved, to get the quest. Period. It would save confusion, and more importantly, time.
