Where did I say that, I guess you ignored the part where I said getting things in alternative ways, that means, willing to work for it, but in different ways so i can choose the path. Since it is supposed to be a role playing game.

I was banging my head trying to explain what you said, but they had blinders on and just wanted thier weapon and nothing else. I just give up trying to get people together, and Ya, it is easy and I do enjoy nyzul island but besides the ws, I want nothing to do with it. and the ??? items, I have yet to see from any assault the ??? to every come up as one ofthe good items, i am about 0/300 or so. I have no luck.

So, let me understand you exactly. You want to get random shit for doing random things? There are so many side-grades in this game now its insane. Noone has to do every event anymore, because there are items from other events that are usually just as good.

As far as having 'options' for getting some new items, in relation to Nyzul since that is what thistopic was about, how about this:

- Getting a weapon drop in Nyzul, and grinding approximately 5000 WS points.
- Going up all 100 floors in Nyzul, getting a weapon drop, and doing 250 WS points.

There is no choice here? There are no options to choose how you want to proceed? You just want to talk to a moogle and get your choice of new weaponskill? How about this too:

- Camping NMs for hours waiting for claim and drops.
- Climbing floors in Nyzul and hoping your NM appears, kill and hope drop is good.

Not only do you get options on how to get Nyzul specific content, you get additional options on how to get older items that have been in the game for a longer period. If you aren't having fun anymore, don't play the game. Don't sit here in your well furnished pit of despair and tell me you don't have options though. That's just bullshit.

I gotta say, between malaise and lack of a group willing to actually stick together and try it, I only just recently had a series of actual successful nyzul runs.

That shit is actually fun.

I quite enjoyed it, looking forward to the next run my group does (assuming they don't break apart, like every assault static I've gotten, T.T) plus it will be nice not needing 4~5k WSes for this fucking gaxe.

Brought a friend that is only recently trying out various events, and his opinion was: "That was fun as hell, why haven't we done this before?"

I imagine when you've done it all 30 times it gets old, but starting fresh? Shit, moar nyzul prz.

That's usually what goes through my mind on a kill all floor. 'Kill all' and 'kill multiple specified enemies' worries me more now, since we have a lamp system down in my group now, and the 'everyone touch this one lamp' is always a nice easy floor.

Nyzul is fun, but not that fun when your ticket gets contradicted with other assult missions, which also indirectly interferes with the salvage run.

Also, now there is the pressure of "must pass"

People gets disappointed and upset with you because now failing to pass means they have to wait another day for getting their new ws.

actually doesn't look like this option exists. considering I have gotten over 7k ws points now. but ya, I want things to have things handed to me, ya like grinding 7000 ws isnt working for something.

forgot to post i did a file check and still no WS i did a few pts last night and the day before so ever more points i stopped counting at 3500(read lost count lol) and just started to count agian and got to what i know had to be 5000 called GM and he told me what the pic said before.

in any case im closer to 6000(maybe even higher i stopped counting again but over the course of about 7hrs of pting and hitting any random SC i could get along with a bunch of solo SC my guess is i have to be over 6000, still at mes 2 i am wait for update and hope its fixed or se gives us a little info on how this works.

note: if it truly is lvl 20 + counts your WS(does not see to be there was a person few days back posted floor 6 i think that got it at 6500? did people find that to be a lie?)it be really messed up for them not to post something for the people doing it.

This is my last post on this topic with you, because you clearly aren't getting it, and I only have so much time to devote to lecturing a brick wall that sheds so many tears.

I know the exact floor -> WS numbers arent completely verified yet, and it's possible you need a Nyzul disk on something near floor 20. Maybe you need 10000 WS points, who really knows yet? That doesn't make my point invalid.

My point was, you are asking for options, and you already have them. If you are refering to something else specifically, you didn't explain that clearly. How long have you sat there and grinded 7000+ WSs instead of trying to go up floors? If people are seriously farming floors 1-5 repeatedly, they are screwing it up. It really doesn't get much harder the higher you go, except for the bosses, and occasional must kill NMs. Sure, my group kills NMs as we go, but we have gotten more weapons from bosses than NMs. I even got my Askar Helm while we were weapon farming on 100.

Work smarter, not harder. Sometimes it's easier to make it work, instead of crying for someone to give you a different option.

believe it or not, there are casual players out there that just don't have the time or schedule to get in a set for things. some of us have many commitments.

I don't love SE at all costs, there are many things in FFXI that annoy the crap out of me. I'm just amazed you have so much time to dedicate to bitching about things being too hard, instead of trying to attain that which you want, considering you are so busy.

My group has more than 6 people in it. Guess what? We make it work instead of bitching about it!

Here is a clue; instead of fighting with me, go do a shout in whitegate and try to raise your disk 5 floors. If you happen to fail, try again. Rinse, repeat as necessary. If this goes on for more than a few weeks, and you cant get past floor 20, then you have something to complain about. From what you have posted, it looks like you tried Nyzul a handfull of times, got lucky with a drop, and now just can't be bothered to proceed further.

Maybe if you wern't such so determined to be right all the time, you would have more friends to actually do Nyzul with. If the people you are trying to do this with aren't working well with you, find new people. Someone who likes to work hard at getting 7000 WS points must have the time to try to create a new Nyzul group.

Or are crabs the only ones who really understand you? (\o.o/)

I would like to point out my disc was at floor 0 till the day of the update. Many of you might have saw me shout for 35min to get a group of 6 meant only for farming the weapons. guess what? that pick up pt got me to floor 10. I would just like to point that out. This does not need to be done with a hardcore group.

Everyone in my static works a job, we play in the evenings on days when everyone is available. In addition, are any jobs really unimportant?

My suggestions were to either try to set up a Nyzul run with shouts on your time, or to try to get into one of the groups with all your friends. Both of those options might possibly work with your important busy schedule. If you have so many important things to do in your life, why are you here posting to complain about something in an online videogame?

The problem with your arguement in this case (you got weapon need more floors for it to be feasible/possible to unlock) is that its far from a timesink. If anything its the opposite of a timesink since you can see you progress directly every time you clear more floors.

We aren't even speaking about getting a runic disc in your case it seems, just enough of floors to get access to the weaponskill. The weaponskill has been confirmed to be available at floor 40, guess what that is 8 successful Nyzul climbs which would take you a week, week and a half, two weeks tops.

Now put that into perspective with getting a specific drop in Dynamis (pre-update) which could take months or even years of constant attendance and you have a proper definition of a timesink.

Getting your Nyzul WS is a short event that will take a few hours of your life over a timeframe of lets say 2-3 weeks. All you seems to be complaining about is that you didn't get it the moment you logged in after the update and it makes you look like a six year old kid that just got told by their mother they cannot have more candy right now.

Seriously have some patience and stop this instant gratification nonsense and work towards your goal instead.
