well if there is indeed a way to see in memory how many points are on the weapon, you show the weapon to the NPC and then see if it gets reset or not.

mine are all level 3 light with my puppet.

and talking to npc shouldnt matter, just like when you do normal ws quest, they just basically tell you. Too bad they didnt put a counter on the weapon, the annoying part isnt doing this many SC, it is not knowing if you are making progress.

Sometimes I think SE has some sick satisfaction from watching people grind things.

but silver lining, how freaking easy breaking the reg ws latents going to feel after this.

ok, on the latest 2ch Thread related to mythic WS,
some guy posted a nice neat c# program in its source form, which reads the memory from the game and displays the current WS points earned.

I donno if its proper to post the code here so I won't.
If you guys are interested in that, google "ミシック武器・ＷＳクエのスレ9", get the source, read, check it yourself, compile and run it at your own risks.

according to the record, I have actually earned
8484pts on my Sharp Sword so far,
but still not getting anywhere close to break it.

i posted it earlier, but just to point it out again: i got 750~ points in a single day, single sitting, in a single zone. I highly doubt that if there is a cap, it's 500 points. ;o

the ws point counter is stored on the weapon itself, and can be checked via memory access. It does not get reset by talking/trading to the blu npc.

However, the quest trigger is held on the server side, and there is no way to confirm if any bug occurs and the trigger gets turned off.

There is a possibility which a player stores more than enough ws points, but the quest is not valid so those points won't get applied.

Nevertheless, the counter will keep the track of the points, you won't lose your efforts. If there is such a bug, then when SQEX patches the server,
you will get those points applied correctly.


So far I don't think there is any bug with this quest, its just SEQX has set the requirement to be extremely high for those people with no records or poor records on Nyzul.

right, further clarification: i got 750 points in a single day AND the ws. so unless everyone is way off on their estimations of how much you need to obtain the ws, or the specifics behind what counts and what doesn't, that's 750 points that counted towards the ws and resulted in the actual unlocking of the ws. All in the same day.

Japanese calls Nyzul "ナイズル"

they don't use the English word "nyzul" in casual talking.

Is there any merit or proof that we can get 500 WS points each day?

I got 444 today on Radiant Lance, and if there is a cap each day, then it would take me another 9 days to unlock Drakesbane at this rate.

I'm not sure why the idea of a 500 cap is being toyed with at all when I've already mentioned getting the ws in the same day after obtaining 750~ points. From 0 to 750~ points, one day, one zone, never spoke to the npc (beyond when i obtained the quest). Tachi: Rana appeared in my WS menu while still in the Boyahda Tree.

I mean, unless the general thought is that anyone who obtained it after more than 500 points merely glitched... o.O

A friend told me about the 500 cap, so I don't want to waste time if I go over 500 if it's true.

But, seeing that you mentioned ~750 in a day, leads me to believe there isn't a cap and it's rumor anyway.

well maybe its 750 or 1k, but we are grasping because some of us are at the 7-8k range, i saw someone at 9k, well I dont mind some time sink but there is a line, and that is crossing the line imo.

5500 at floor 20, so sounds liek it then jumps to 1k every 5 floors.
