well maybe its 750 or 1k, but we are grasping because some of us are at the 7-8k range, i saw someone at 9k, well I dont mind some time sink but there is a line, and that is crossing the line imo.

5500 at floor 20, so sounds liek it then jumps to 1k every 5 floors.

appearently the fuction goes exponentially rather than simple addtion.

Still, its understandble, considering the diffculity of requiring a key before the update.

Oh absolutely. I mean, I understand why the idea might have initially been conceived. It's pretty ridiculous that it requires so many points to unlock ws's. Hell, 500 always seemed like a pain in the ass to me for the KS weapons. The only reason I was even willing to do the G.Katana was because I was able to pull off multiple SC's so quickly, and they were all light or dark.

The only reason I was insistent about it not being 500 was because I had witnessed the contrary first-hand and I'd hate for people to delay their progress because of something I've seen to be false. But perhaps there is some validity to a higher point cap. Tricky part is figuring that out ._.;

Here's a link to source (along with personal edit, made item names english) if you can't find it on 2ch. Feel free to pull it apart if you think I'm trying to jack your account, just trying to help out.

To use it, simply run 'WeaponChecker.exe' with FFXI running, it only scans your inventory, so all weapons you want to scan have to be on your person.

It -DOES NOT- update in real time, you have to hit scan again to see the new point value. It also looks like you need to zone to get it to update to the correct count in my testing.

I honestly have no idea if scythe even uses this format to keep track of next crit, and I don't have access to a DRK to try it. I do know though, you'd have to add it to the item list to scan for.

In the weapon's list you'd have to add:

So, I got the second message after 620 points, and have no floor progression on my disc.

Is it just after you get nearly any that it starts up?

100 floors, 250 pts per 5 floors = 7200 points. I'm betting it's that simple really. Let us know if you get that high without going completely insane.

uhh. wouldn't 100/5 = 20 sets of 5 therefor 250*20 = 5000 points total? Pretty much any logical model we've built so far has been false for anyone below 40. Infact has anyone below 40 unlocked a WS yet?

Points Required: ~2625 points (almost all darkness skillchains, but a few solo ws's and a distortion or two)

Thank god, Insurgency Finally!

Just finished my Windslicer last night, still on floor 49.

Took me ~2645 points to finish it (though this one was much less accurate in recording than my previous unlock, so i assume they're actually pretty close).

I'm working on my Brave Blade currently, and i'm now floor 50 *joy* So hopefully i'll have numbers for that within a few days.

so there has to be more to it.
