Here's a link to source (along with personal edit, made item names english) if you can't find it on 2ch. Feel free to pull it apart if you think I'm trying to jack your account, just trying to help out.

To use it, simply run 'WeaponChecker.exe' with FFXI running, it only scans your inventory, so all weapons you want to scan have to be on your person.

It -DOES NOT- update in real time, you have to hit scan again to see the new point value. It also looks like you need to zone to get it to update to the correct count in my testing.

Or reequip the weapon? This might explain much of the behavior we have seen so far...

Reequipping doesn't force it to update, I've done a couple points with my Destroyers now and the only sure-fire way of getting it to update seems to be zoning.

I finally got my Brave Blade tonight off of a random NM on a floor 80 farm run. My disk is only at floor 20, so I'll be waiting a few weeks before i make a serious crack at getting the WS. Meanwhile, bye bye Company Sword....

Something just a wee bit ironic about the people who run windower making a plugin for "preople concerned with running third party programs".

Hey, we have the good reputation that people know our stuff is safe =P Some people only use windower and no 3rd party apps.


hard part of me doin the plugin is not having a weapon myself to test, as im not gonna use the same method the jp app is using so gotta do some poking.

as for getting it to update, try sorting your inventory.

Sorting, manually or auto doesn't update it, nor does getting a new item. Right now it seems the client value is only updated by zoning.

The method work's with KS30/Quest WS weapons too, if one of those would be easier to obtain than a nyzul weapon.

i've already turned in my club of trials ;/ no way in hell im doing another wep, whm/blm onry. id rather send multiple builds to someone

It's been said here several times, and I know a lot of ppl that have all broken at 5500 @ floor 20 and not to be a prick but I think the only problem here is your math honestly, your 1251 past everyone else and no ws, are you sure your giving yourself the right amount of points and not making an error like giving yourself 4 points for opening a lvl 3 when it's only 3 points? I know this much, I'm @ floor 20 and have around 5000 points, and anyone who's hit 5000 will agree, it seems like you've done twice that. Also, a friend of mine with a runic key said the npc didn't say he was close and always got the marked increase msg until he was within about a 50 point margin of cleaning it, so I'd bet it's safe to say that the same thing would apply to everyone. So getting the same "marked increase" msg doesn't neccessarily mean your not close. From a programming stand point it'd make more sense for SE to set a constant value for the msg rather than a percent that the server would have to calculate for each individual based on their nyzul progress. Just my 2 cents, hope you get your ws soon

Sorry for no quote box on this one dunno where the origonal post is at, prolly at the bottom of this page, but it's 2am and I'm too tired to scroll and look for it. Anyhow, I wanted to say posting a screenshot of yourself using an 3rd pt program is absolutely brilliant! If some app hater that plays on ps2 and reads these threads reports you, you get caught and suspended or banned please don't come in here whining and blaming other ppl like the guy who couldn't get a nyzul static or clean his weapon cuz he was too busy complaining about the requirements. Just another 2 cents. I'm not trying to be a jerk, I don't read these forums that much, sure ppl have done the same thing before, but if I used an app I wouldn't tell anyone, let alone post a picture of the evidence lol

Back on page 32, Neithan used the program and he found what his points are. I can also vouch for the program as well as I started messing around last night and did a few solo ws's on quicksilver and marked down my points. I did 36 points worth. When I downloaded and ran the program it said I had 36 points. So the number he got was actually from the weapon. He stated that the number he thought he had via counting was much lower than what it really was.

For all those people who have like 6k points and it's not unlocking, I know this is the equivalent of a "Is the power cord plugged in" question, but did you remember to touch the lamp before you started Floor 0 to get your Runic Key? I'm sure there are a few who won't post, but actually forgot to.

You should be able to go see shantotto if your staff skill is skilled and get a trial weapon very quickly, as well.
