I've gotten 9 new WS so far. Never once complained about it.
Then again I'd be one of the 3 % and I say kick the 97% and lets have us a party!
Either you didn't listen to me, or are trying to bait me at this point. My suggestion was to try to form a pickup group, or go with friends, or do some combination of the two.
"I asked the same people 10 times and they still don't want to go!" wasn't what people meant when they said to try to get some Nyzul progress done. If you are just losing tags at this point, try it with a pickup. What's the worst that could happen? You die a few times, and are no worse off as you were 30 minutes ago. The rage you have for crabs might have even gone away by then too.
Edit: It took me a month of exactly what you are talking about to get a static of people together. Shit takes time, I don't know what else to tell you.
At least we have the actual ability of progression at our own pace. When you look at the overall scope of things getting the weapon skill itself is pretty easy. Once one of my damn weapons finally drop I think I'll have no problems at all unlocking it, and I'm only on the 15th floor. Even better the fact that I can still climb the floors and it'll count towards the total points needed.
Just don't burn yourself out trying to get the new shinies in your weapon skill list on day 1. The majority of them seem to suck anyways so this is really only for completions sake.
woot he played the 'I was sick' card, game over, he wins. Time to go home guys.
Yeah, I'm in the same boat as you there.
I am really anxious to get Drakesbane because I'd like to see another WS other than Penta Thrust, and I know I'll never get Geirskogul. >_>;
Forming a set isn't bad. I have a set for Nyzul already and we're alternating turns on who to advance in floors. Right now, we're getting one person to 60. Next person is going to take them from 20 to 40 next week. I'm still at Floor 5, so I'm waiting for my turn.
Reports found in this thread superimposed on the chart pulled from the JP site:
With the exception of floor 45, and two outliers that I'd write off as human error in counting, it looks like we've got a winner within a ~10% margin of error.Code:100 250 95 500 90 625 (680, 680) -- 8.8% off 85 750 (700) -- 6.7% off 80 875 (859, 900, 1111) -- 1.8%, 2.9%, and 27% off 75 1093 70 1312 65 1531 60 1750 (1715) -- 2% off 55 2187 (2250, 2320) -- 2.9%, 6.1% off 50 2625 45 3062 (2625, 2645) -- 14.3%, 13.6% off 40 3500 (2800, 3525, 3521, < 3600--floor jump) -- 20%, 0.7%, 0.6% off 35 4375 (4640) -- 6.1% off 30 5250 (5316, < 5511--floor jump) -- 1.3% off 25 6125 (6103) -- 0.4% off 20 7000 (7045) -- 0.6% off 15 8750 ( > 8596) 10 10500 5 12250 (12000) -- 2% off 0 14000
Isn't it pretty clear that SE wants you to do Nyzul in order to obtain these?
Frankly i'm THANKFUL that they allowed these weapon skills to be earned outside of the use of the completed mythic weapon, unlike the relic weapons. I personally expected that there would be a substantial amount of work involved (though I kind of expected it to be something more interesting then grinding weaponskill points)
and note to above poster. individual levels definitely do count, so i wouldn't count floor 19 as an accurate number for floor 15.
Just got Stringing Pummel, floor 25 disc.
By my count it popped somewhere between 6103 and 6107 points, but was counting by hand (lol360 limitations), so the chart's 6125 for a floor 25 disc seems likely.
Inferno Claws obtained on floor 1
Superior Private Rank
It would be highly unlikely that you'd earn enough points to account for an almost 5 floor difference in a single nyzul run in 30 minutes.
I agree, but why do you seem to find it so hard to believe that individual floors count, when the game does track your progress to a single floor even if it's not a multiple of 5? (Just talk to the nyzul assault NPC and ask about your progress on a run where you exited early).
The only issue I can see with that is the distance to the theorized 15 point that they were was extremely close (154, to be exact). Given the possibility for error in counting on the way up if this person didn't use the program posted here, then it would be extremely possible for them to be even closer to the value and obtained it during the run.
So honestly, I'd say it could go either way right now. What would be awesome to find though would be someone at say ~6500 points who did 20-24 and got it on exiting floor 24. That way, the value would be too far from the level 20 point total to claim that it was just a "got the points while doing Nyzul" thing.
