I have seen your posts around cream, you are a very intelligent player, if you have gear that gives you decent stat bonuses from higher levels up, you will be fine at those levels, period

A good strat and the right jobs will get you through anything 10-50, optimal gear really does not matter until later

You act like people spend 1M on gear to help thier friends level.. Most ppl spend a max of like 50k on defense shit to help thier friends with capped missions, this isn't encouraging gimpness, its just letting u be slightly less gimp for free, than slightly more gimp for 50kish.

Why would I spend 1M on capped gear when i can complete it just fine for free? Will it be as easy? No, it will prolly take 5 more seconds to kill the mob, but who gives a fuck?

Oclub works if the sync'd job is above 63 and then meets the hidden effect requirments. Did it with level 70 sync'd blm and got the dbl attack effect 3/4 swings.

Give me a more detailed example, what job is the person. If you mean a war they prolly have hauby(I haven't seen a fulltime KO war in years thank god) and shit, granted thier weapons will be gimp, and I wasn't condoning a level 75 war to a 60ish pt, I was talking about the lower levels and capped events.

On the other hand ur not gonna be inviting a 75war to a level sync pt at 66.. theres 500 DD lfp, and if it's a tank or mage, be glad u found one who would level sync with u, who cares if thier gimp you wouldn't get any exp otherwise.

You can't really expect someone to spend the same gil in a level capped pt as you would if they were actually leveling it, I get your point but honestly I would just leave the pt.

Yea, but most mnks for example that have bkote, generally don't carry okote. Its not just body piece so that's not really the only slot you can look at. I have faith torque and i sure as hell don't carry PCC or even a chiv chain. Most black belt mnks aren't going to be carrying brown belts either. Ect. So he has SH, swaps to that, and its still gimp shit.

As far as I'm concerned the main bugbear of helping friends of lower level is the pain in the ass muling I have to do beforehand. I was honestly expecting the higher gears to be badly nerfed as they are and it doesn't bother me that much. Some godly gears for their level like Hauby should be worn for 60 caps, but most other stuff can be synced if it keeps decent DEF at least. Of course I've to try it out myself but the principle seems fine to me.
