I'd be fucking pissed if all it did was essentially add a point in Loaded Deck. >_> I suppose this is why I've left my COR merits at 5/10 in both groups. xD

Not that adding a point in Loaded Deck would be a bad thing unless you were like 5/5 on it, but if that's really all it does, that's pretty blah.

If it's not 100%, maybe it does indeed enhance Phantom Roll even more if there's a job in the party, and it just hasn't proc'd during the test with a job yet.

    I can dream.

Why disappointed? RNG AF2 hat adds a point to Recyle and NIN AF2 hands add a point to Ninja Tool Expertise. Both of which are group 2 merits, so why not the same for COR AF2 Body and Loaded Deck?

tbh I'd like it just fine, I only spent 1 on LD and if body basically gives LD I could drop it and do 5 Snake Eye/5 Fold and be perfectly happy.

NIN hands are significantly stronger than an extra point on the merits (not to mention that, in the case of those pieces, the merits came second). Max Tool Expertise merits are 25% (5% each) where the gloves are 33%...

and isn't af2 body for whm stronger than regen potency merits? it might be that if you stack 5+af2 body, you can manage a 100% reset of one JA?

Got evokers roll bonus 2/5 times. Could be wrong, but thats what he was reporting.
I got this hat tonight and can confirm this. Did about 30 rolls, and got either the standard or the SMN-in-party bonus with Evokers roll. One thing to add is when you double up it seems to stick with whatever luck you had on the 1st roll, so if you are getting SMN bonus with initial roll and double-up, you still have SMN bonus with the new number. I never saw it switch between SMN bonus and no SMN bonus during double-up.

    *update*
You don't need to wear the hat at all during double-up, if you got the bonus on the initial roll it will stay when you double-up without the hat on.

I guess my question is this:

If you get the lucky phantom roll and you dont lose it on a double up, is it possible to not get the proc on the phantom roll but to get it while using double up? Has anyone witnessed this?

That and the post above you, I think it's pretty safe to say the augment only triggers on the initial Phantom Roll command, and not the double up command.

Also it gives a new use for Fold, since if you didn't get the bonus and really wanted it, fold would give you another chance at the proc. In reality though it would be hard to weigh up the pros and cons considering the randomness of the numbers you would end up rolling.

If I get the chance to do a large sample test, I'd like to work out roughly what the proc rate is of this hat. Its not hard to do the test, just needs time. I've been using Evokers as its easy to see the result which means zoning after each roll to clear it for another. However there might also be other rolls easy to see the result, DNC for one.

Dancer's and Evoker's would be the easiest to test at a glance, yes.

Looks like COR AF is just "Chance" of shit to happen, because SE thinks we like to gamble with our buffs hur hur hur. God I wish they played their own game.

this testing will get much more interesting on Sunday. 3 days after Lament got his Relic Hat in Xarc, the -1 dropped for him in Dunes. (Lucky freaking bastard.)

Besides Evoker's Roll, it's going to be a pain in the ass to tell whether the augment kicks in or not in most actual party situations. I don't think any COR is going to want to have to open up their equipment menu, check their new Attack value, mentally calculate the percent increase from their base Attack (assuming they remember what that was), and look up the value in a table to see whether they're getting the extra 10% attack bonus every time they use Chaos Roll in a melee party. With Fighter's and Rogue's Rolls, it's going to be impossible to tell whether the bonus is on or not since even with a parser the margin of error will be too high to draw any conclusions in the 5:00 before the roll wears off.

And honestly, I'm not sure if I would ever blow Fold just to re-roll Evoker's and have a chance at 1 more mp/tick. I don't even use Snake Eye on Evoker's Roll unless it's going to get me 2 more mp/tick than I had before (double-up on IX only).

WHM Regen merits are significantly stronger than Cleric's Briault, but of course they stack. No reason this can't either.

    Sort of.

Each individual merit adds 1 HP/tic, to a total of +5/tic. Relic body adds 1 HP/tic per tier, so regen gets +1/tic, regen 2 gets +2/tic, and 3 gets +3/tic.

From my tests with Commodore Tricorne +1 it looks like the bonusses are still the same, so it's just +2 ranged attack. Nothing special besides the whitebox.
