Got my hat last night.
I've noticed every time my first roll is a 4, it procs. I'm gonna do some more testing with this.
Edit: I'm not sure this is 100%, because I haven't really been noticing what I've been landing on. Gonna start paying attention now.
And that's first number landed on from the initial Phantom Roll, no Double-Ups
maybe it enhances random deal in that way, that it might have a chance of 1% reseting 2 hours
scratch that, I just rolled a 5 on evokers three times in a row (lol) and didnt get the bonus any of the times. I'll continue testing, but so far im 4/10 on chaos and 2/10 on evokers.
edit: idk how I double posted, maybe lag
I did 20 tests with chaos, and 20 with evokers. I have the full results but here's a summary-
Chaos Roll: 8 procs out of 20 rolls (40%)
-lucky roll: 3 procs out of 4
Evoker's Roll: 6 procs out of 20 rolls (30%)
-lucky roll: 1 proc out of 4
20 tests is kinda a small sample size, but it seems that unless I'm unlucky, the proc rate is a bit lower than 50%, somewhere around 33-40%.
It's also possible that the hat procs differently depending on the roll, but I suppose a much larger sample would be needed, as well as testing of other rolls like dancers (or maybe wizards or samurai during combat? idk).
My Cor is only 24, but I just read through this anways.j
Maybe it adds an *additional* lucky number to each roll? Dunno.
no, i tried doubling up on a bunch of my rolls and what was said earlier holds true: the hat procs on phantom roll, and cannot proc/unproc on double-up. On anything that I rolled there was no consistency (for example, I rolled a 1 on evokers five times, and the hat proc'd once), it's simply a certain % chance that you'll get the bonus.
As for Frac, my test have also yielded less-than-spectacular results. I just tried it a few times before heading off to bed:
With Frac and one LD merit:
*PR + Fold + Snake Eye down > RD > Reset PR
*PR + Fold down > RD > Reset PR
*Fold down > RD > Miss
*Recast of RD was not lowered
My guess is as others have stated: it simply reduces the chance of a miss, but not significantly.
I wonder if it's equal to the first point in Loaded Deck. I don't care about my percentage of failure as long as I'm getting back a JA if 2x are down. I'd rather use the extra point in Snake Eye recast or something.
Here's my test with Evoker's Roll so far:
Evoker's Roll
This shows what number I landed on before double-up., and whether it is a proc or not.X is a non proc, L is a proc. 54 rolls. 22 procs, which would put it at just under 50%, as other posts have described. Gonna continue this for a while and post my results.Code:# Proc 1 X L L L X X X X L L 2 X L X X L X X X L X X X 3 X L X X X X 4 L L L X L X L X 5 X X L X X X L 6 L X L L L X L X L X X
i jus got the frac last night
no merits in loaded deck, someone tell me what you want me to do, and i'll try to get tests in before einherjar today since i can jus stand there in front of the moogle and spam JA
Loaded Deck merits make it so if you have 2 JAs or more with recast that you are guaranteed to get one of them back. The extra points lower the chance of failure if only 1 JA is up. What I'm curious about is what the percentage of failure is with AF2 body without Loaded Deck merits with 1 and 2 JAs with timers.
Continued testing:
Out of 116 Evoker's Rolls, only 44 proc'd the hat. That's around 37%.Code:# Proc 1 X L L L X X X X L L L X X X X L L X X 2 X L X X L X X X L X X X X L L X X X X X 3 X L X X X X X L L L L X X L 4 L L L X L X L X X X L X X L X L X X X X L X X 5 X X L X X X L X X X X X L L L X X X X 6 L X L L L X L X L X X L L X L X X L L X X
Hopefully someone else is more lucky with it than I am.
