because fTP has only ever applied to the first hit? anyway, the fTP boost is worth ~15str and acc boost on a multihit is worth even more than that (by an indeterminate amount) so unless your torque happens to be on that imparts >10 acc (justice isn't one of these) then the gorget is better in all situations.
and this is advanced, get used to derails. at least this one is a related topic and not a request for boobs.
I'm anxiously awaiting Spira's testing, he's good about that. I actually wanted to disprove the info on the front page since it's just an assumption and I've heard good things about the WS (again, no offense to the OP), but Nyzle hates me and still does. We failed like all our Floor 1-5 runs because my new Nyzle leader insists on BLU BLU DRK RDM WHM SCH (I'm the SCH and basically begged him to let me go BRD and I hate going BRD to anything, lol). They aren't really bad players or anything, but seriously, I want my claws too.Runic Disc still on Floor 21...
Not a thread to mourn to Nyzul setup either.
Did someone test Blade:Kamu mod? Since it's NIN's ws and has some indirect effect that gives you evasion bonus, I think its mod should be AGI. Please verify.
Having a difficult time with the WS mod. Assuming it is actually a base 2 number, does anyone know what gorget really adds to fTP? Something close to .1 obviously, but is it 25/256, 26/256, 51/512 or what?
Edit: Nvm, found a Kirschy post from July that says it's +25/256.
k I did more Leaden Salute but I'm tired and need some maffs help. The fTP scaling seems to be pretty weak, though it definitely does do the same damage regardless of weapon/bullet base D.
I was getting about 415/445/490 at 100/200/300(2-300 using Martial and 1-200). There were variances b/c of me getting 2-12 extra TP before I could fire, but it was really consistent. On lightsday I did get -10% procs, and Pluto's Staff did work. I had to head to assault right before Darksday so I didn't get to test Anrin Obi.
Pertinent stats for figuring out the mods: I had +16/12 MAB(Uggy/Modly/Denali, Colibri have RDM MDB), didn't check my AGI or INT but it's Elv base for COR/DNC +26(28 with Pluto's), and only INT boost should be +2 from Pluto's.
I am not sure if the WS uses dINT with an AGI WSC mod or maybe dAGI instead, hoping to test that tonight after Dynamis.
Lightsday screwed me again but from the limited data I got, it looks like fTP is 1.75, in which case if the mod is INT it would be INT 30%, but I'll have to wait until after maintenance to verify.
Edit: Okay I confirmed it anyway, just calculating both the regular and the 90% day reduction values for each test. Vidohunir is almost certainly INT 30% with a 1.75 mod, making the base damage formula (assuming only usable at Lv75):
2*dINT + floor(1.75 * (77 + floor(.83 * floor(0.3 * INT))))
from there the typical magic damage bonuses (day/weather, Staff, MAB, etc) apply in the same fashion as with elemental magic. Darksday will overlap with maintenance but I'll check later if AF2 legs bonus applies to the day/weather term. Gorget improves the 1.75 fTP to 473/256, but I think an INT neck will be better damage anyway.
lol so Rana is TP:Acc and everyone saying Hagun produces more damage than Onimaru etc is a retard?
Ty Suiram, updating Vidohunir.
Wouldn't it still not matter seeing as how Hagun Rana > Hagun Gekko Darkness would still very likely outdo Oni Gekko > Oni Rana Darkness in almost every case? Seeing as how you can pretty much now self-darkness every time Sekka or Med is up?
I guess my main thing is that I don't think I ever do anything with less than 2 SAMs, with WS' flying all over the place, and I think overall being able to toss out any of your now 4 main WS to close a random SC when you see a WS and have more than 1 of them be really good would be better than having one slightly more buffed WS. If Oni Rana is in fact better than Hagun Y/G/K, it's not going to be by a shitload, not enough to warrant gimping your Y/G/K .
That said, Riceball build Rana is pretty nutty from what I saw last night, at least in Nyzul Isle, but not the most evasive targets there.
I have not seen it posted anywhere but me and a friend of mine were breaking latent on swordbreaker with Insurgency - Shark bite - light. We noticed that we got a 10% light damage bonus every so often. I always thought that the light damage was meant to be the exact same as the last WS damage if no resist. It was fireday with no weather effects so was not a weather/day bonus.
Fire is light element. From what I recall reading, Lv2 and Lv3 SCs pick the element of the two or four that the enemy is most weak to for the purposes of determining day/weather bonuses. So it's possible that it had chosen fire and you were getting the day bonus.
aaah sorry i wasnt aware of this fact. I always figured it had to be lightday for bonus.
