I put on amemit mantle and it added 0 damage. I also tried behe rings for ranged acc and it added nothing. Just for kicks I went out and tested with corsair's tricorne to see if quickdraw enhancements effect it and got nothing.
Its really very disappointing at this point in time. I did some nyzul runs last night and I kept getting undead floors on which I couldn't break 50 dmg.
(This is all in regard to Leaden Salute)
I think it needs to be tested against mobs who are weaker to magic than they are physical, ideally higher level ones, and go from there.
What I can't figure though is why are level 47-50 beetles taking 54 less damage than level 0 mobs? Its not dAGI and no other stat changes my damage.
I did do some screwing around with flan. It is fun on them, when they had spikes on I was doing 700+ easily, but thats expected.
On low levels the damage is completely consistent, and higher levels AGI still is the only thing that changes damage (at least up through the 60s). But increasing my opponents AGI doesn't decrease damage. I'm beginning to think it merely depends on the mobs level and your AGI.
Have you confirmed that the 2.94~ AGI increase is consistent at all levels of TP?
Yes, 2.94 is consistent at all levels (roughly). There are the occassionally 2.93s and some 2.95s, but I'm sure its an issue of rounding. There have been 1 or 2 anomolous numbers that came up but they were at 100 tp (getting 1-2 points more or less than I expected).
For TP variance I used martial gun to land directly on 200 tp (well 100 tp +TP bonus). I switched my AGI around and got the same 2.94 bonus. No mistake about it.
Ugh and you can't use the WS at 74, so no way to tell if the (Lv + 2) part of the formula stays the same. At the moment I think we're looking at something along the lines of the same formula, but I'm not sure if there's possibly an AGI WSC mod and an as of yet unknown AGI function in place of dINT, or just the AGI function with no WSC. Are there any other WS'(not counting Spirits Within/Spirit Taker) that have no WSC mod at all?
I think there may be a dINT, but I can't solo mobs where my dINT would be < 24 thus my tests aren't affected by that. So while dINT may be a component it doesn't account for the decrease in damage.
Slimes in mount z? Or even puddings with a blm friend nearby to solo? There are black slimes in aydeewa as well.I think it needs to be tested against mobs who are weaker to magic than they are physical, ideally higher level ones, and go from there.
I'm Elv so I think COR/DNC I have a base INT of like 7, I'll try lesser colibris again tonight w/ some INT gear.
Kwon, was it only beetles that took 50ish less damage than normal on TWs?
From what I read Ascetic's Fury sucks?.. Well..
I'm still getting it!
For too weaks I've tried everything, mandies, birds, etc they all take the same damage at level 0. When I went out to tahrongi canyon and fought the exact same composition of mobs my shots were doing like 4-5 less damage with the same setup. These would be level 8-10 mobs instead of level 0.
I tried spiders and beetles and crabs at higher levels. The higher their level the less damage they take. As best I can tell its merely a function of their level and not any stat and not species (although bubble curtain screws over testing quick)
I've heard it's howling fist+1. Not exactly a bad thing, as I pull better numbers with howling than asuran on high def mobs.
Edit: Talking about Asectic's Fury.
Chat w/ buddy on FFXIO who is good at this stuff, for what it's worth figured I'd post it here.Originally Posted by Armando
AGI isn't capping, even on level 0 mobs. It scales perfectly. Moreover it scales the same up to 300 TP. Thats the problem its not acting like a WSC in that more TP doesn't increase the effect. Its not acting like a dINT because raising the mobs AGI doesn't lower my damage and my AGI doesn't cap against the mobs. If AGI were to cap low level would be the perfect place to test it. I have to be 100+ AGI more than the mob thus it can't be capping out.
I think this weaponskill has a rather unique formula in that AGI is a damage mod but its not dAGI and its not a WSC.
There was this too:
So even hitting the level 40-50 range you should probably have no problem capping that as a Taru COR/NIN. Anyways I'll try to play more later after Dynamis, I wish my BRD was on a separate character than my COR so I could play with EtudesYeah, fINT caps at 24, the formula is 8 + (INT diff)/2 so you would need 32 INT over the mob to cap that. I seriously doubt as an Elvaan it would be easy for you to cap fAGI considering the mob's sub is uncapped.![]()
Yeah its easy to cap my int. I'm not worried about fINT though. What I know is that on the mobs I was fighting adding int did nothing. Perhaps on higher level mobs it will make a contribution. What is most important is figuring out what happened to that 54 damage. I don't think etudes are needed to establish that there isn't a dAGI as a dAGI would be capped on low level mobs, but my AGI damage keeps increasing.
Here is what I know for sure:
AGI adds 2.94 damage. This has no cap. STR,VIT,DEX,MND,CHR,attack, ranged attack, acc, ranged acc, evasion all have no impact on damage. The damage scales with TP but the AGI multiplier does not.
If there is a dAGI or dINT used in addition to the AGI giving 2.94 it would not be a factor on level 50 mobs as on tarutaru these would both be capped. Thus I am losing 54 damage to something that has nothing to do with any known stat other than possibly level.
