/SAM of course.
Martial Scythe may be decent, but I doubt it's better than Perdu. Who knows, though.
Yeah, but you're losing a ton of DoT by switching Perdu to Martial. What I mean is that I doubt it'd be significant enough of a WS damage increase to make up for it.
Random Mordant Rime comment: I'm not sure how often personally I will see use for this ws, but while I was dicking around with it on lesser colibri I was hitting numbers far higher than I really expected. 1300+ damage, /nin, heca/osode/af+1pants, miscellaneous dd gear, blau, and double mins. Lesser colis are pretty paper thin, and it's piercing, so damage bonus, but still, 1300+ was a bit of a surprise. With mins it was consistently doing 1k+.
Yay first post ._.
When I was doing Insurgency tests, I went /SAM and played /w bees. w/o SA the first hit was like 1xx damage. I even was lucky enough to miss the first hit and land the second hit for 384. (Thats mostly capped conditions on bees.)
Anyway, to the poster who said that on bees outside Windurst the WS raised about 50 points when using Last Resort. Your attack should be way over the cap, using Last Resort shouldn't add damage. The fact you say a 50 damage change while using SA, means you might be on the right track to figuring out a hidden WS modification. Possibly buffs?
Maybe the damage is raised based on personal buffs we use, like Last Resort, Diabolic Eye, Arcane Circle, etc. It would explain why Attack didn't raise the damage but Last Resort did.
It's sort of a silly theory but these WSs are really weird.
Just went and tested it in Saru on bees. Adding buffs didn't increase damage (tried with Arcane Circle and Last Resort on seperate WSs with SA - stayed at the same damage cap as Insurgency with no buffs except SA).
Insurgency is the new AV....there is most likely a trick to it, but the trick is so obscure nobody will ever figure it out.
Would it be safe to assume that since the first post says that Mandalic Stab is Fusion/Compression based that Shadow Gorget will work for it?
Another gorget question:
I'm correct in using Soil Gorget for King's Justice and Breeze Gorget for Insurgency, yes? I'm going by the properties listed in the OP and the gorget affiliations listed on the KoolAid "In The Name of Science" list.
Fire, Light, or Shadow gorgets for Insurgency.
Breeze should work for KJ, Thunder or Soil too.
Did some very brief trend testing for Death Blossom. May go back later for real testing(ran out of time and didn't have enough attribute specific gear). All WSs done as rdm/thf, 266 sword skill, joyeuse, SA, and 102%TP(even if the TP effect is supposed to only effect the Meva down).

Like i said this was brief due to running out of time and equipment. I would have liked to have done at least 50 WSs a set and with better controls(would have done at least naked + gorget if i had at least another 30mins). These numbers probably won't help at all, but w/e lol. Good luck on the testing~
Don't know if this has been said before about Atonement but I did some mini testing and had some fun with it at the same time :D
Shark bite > Atonement = Light
Yuki > Atonement = Frag
Yuki > Gekko = Frag > Atone = Light
Guillo > Atone = Frag
Savage blade > Atone = Light
did constant 500-750.
Was bored, so I did some testing with Mystic Boon to add to this. All WS were done with Sneak Attack, at 104% TP, with Brass Jadagna +1, on Huge Hornets (lvl 0) in South Gustaberg. My base stats were as follows:
str 64 - dex 61 - vit 63+6 (from weapon) - agi 63 - int 63 - mnd 67 - chr 63
attack 307
highest damages:
67 mnd (naked): 318
67+10 mnd: 332
67+20 mnd: 352
naked:
313, 287, 292, 315, 280, 318, 318, 314, 313, 294
+10 MND
311, 297, 326, 312, 325, 299, 329, 316, 332, 330
+20 mnd +5 chr
298, 324, 347, 348, 352, 343, 350, 341, 306, 306
I kind-of assumed chr wasn't a modifier, so the 5 chr there wouldn't matter.
Well... it's something... but why has no one done any actual testing with this? The guy just packs on STR gear, does a WS, calls it a STR mod (it can't be STR mod with those kind of numbers...), goes to bed, and we don't hear from him for 5 days. Then a guy posts of screenshots of it, and doesn't say a word about what kind of stat mod he thinks it has. Then a guy posts on the wiki that it does '100-300' more DMG than Vorpal Blade, but doesn't give any real number. He also just says he was in full Denali and says it's probably an Acc/att/str/mnd mod (which isn't correct, since Acc and Att are not mods, and STR cannot be one in this case either, from what I've seen... Especially since there's like STR+3 on the entire Denali set.).(BLU) "Expiacion" - Modifier/fTP Testing
Seems to do 300-500 damage, Expiacion > CA Vertical Cleave = Darkness.
It's a conspiracy to torture us BLUs who don't have it yet!
Okay, but seriously, has anyone done any actual testing on Expiacion?
