New WS Properties/Modifier/Damage Testing

Wouldn't Martial/Perdu be the better combination? Perdu's delay is significantly lower and you get the latent bonuses, and it only has 1 less DMG than Morgenstern. Offhand crits are pretty much meaningless.

Same name and has mnd+ on it.
First, I went to Kuftal and whored str in every slot and averaged 590 out of 40 Fury's.

Then I put on my chi build (except osode because I no longer have) and had just over +50 mnd and by the time i got to ws 30ish the average was like 520 so I just stopped there instead of going to 40 because I was tired.

The best setup for True Flight would be martial gun and a shit loads of AGI.

Denali Bonnet/Osode/Seiryu/Hachiman/Denali Kecks
Ugg. Pendant/Scouter's Rope/Commander Cape
Breeze Rings x2/Moldavite/Novio

This will net you around +61 AGI and +20 MAB excluding food. Well, this kind of setup could hit 1K damage on a worthless mob, 1.1-1.2K ish with /RDM or /BLM. 1.3k if you use light obi and have a SCH friend around you.

*IF it really is AGI_30 modifier.

I would think Trilling Dagger/xxx would be a better main/sub combo. Dagger is +20% on Light elemental damage.

about Insurgency, and Mandalic Stab, could it be possible that the random spikes in the WS's work along the same lines as Tredecim Scythe's guarantee'd Crit on the 13th hit? like say, for example if you counted 5 swings than WS'd before the 6th went off it would make the WS critical hit? not using 5 as a definitive number but an example.

Mandalic Stab gets quite large bonus in attack value, probably this is the spike reason and the same thing could go with Insurgency. You won't notice any spike against low defense mob so WS against lv 0 mob won't show anything at all, even if the attack bonus kicks in. Well, in Insurgency case, if your base attack hit 450-500ish, I don't think you can notice any spike damage against easy prey monster like Lesser Colibri either.

Or in short, there can be a large hidden attack bonus modifier that would occur occasionally.

People have reported damage spikes on everything from EPs all the way up to HNMs-level mobs. A few pages back somebody reported a jump up to 1600 on an EP Tabar Beak, and obviously there was the pic of 1700 LAC too. The weapon does more damage for no reason across the board, not just on higher DEF or higher level mobs.

Mystic Boon

Did some Fieldtests on Mystic Boon in Campaign.


Martial Wand is DEFINETLY the Hagun of clubs for this WS. I went WHM/NIN to make the offhand hit profit the WS.

Dualwielding Morgenstern and 7Eye for the lack of other clubs in my mog my damage was around 190-230. I did macro in +52 MND for the WS.

Dualwielding Martial Wand and Morgenstern offhand my damage started at 300 low end.


As logic intends the WS is really awesome for anything a WHM can hit. I was cure spamming people in Campaign left and right without ever running out of MP. I got up to 2100EXP and 2000notes - so very close to the Note cap.

I seem to get much higher Mystic Boons than other people...It might have something to do with the Mjollnir, however the Perdu Wand on the main hand doing a 200TP WS should at least bring it a bit closer to the Mjollnir. I'll do some Mystic Boons tonight in Campaign and post the damage results with WS gear here to maybe compare.

heh, might be as simple as the greater amount of melee gear compared to most WHM.

OK I lied...I can't get more than 350 damage eating meat on Yagudo in campaign using Mystic Boon...

This WS is really fucking weird.

After I unlocked the WS I help my friend get King's Justice in Kuftal Tunnel as MNK/WAR, I used a blend of Def/VIT/STR/AGI combo to not get hit too hard. But anyway my Ascetics was doing constantly over 750, rarely under 700, 800-950 was pretty common on both Robber Crabs and the Lizards. Even hit 900 Ascetic's when I had defender on alot.

Edit: And I tried stacking boost x10 in Saruta with AF gloves but didn't increase damage.
