Oh ok.
Anyway, like I said people should post up what gear they're using with Insurgency. There has to be some difference in people's set ups for the numbers to vary so much.
My setup on Greater Colibri for Insurgency
Main: Perdu Sickle
Sub: Pole Grip
Ammo: Fire Bomblet
Head: Chaos Burgeonet +1
Neck: Flame Gorget
Ear1: Abyssal Earring
Ear2: Brutal Earring
Body: Hecatomb Harness
Hands: Chaos Gauntlets +1
Ring1: Rajas Ring
Ring2: Flame Ring
Back: Forager's Mantle
Waist: Potent Belt
Legs: Black Cuisses
Feet: Hecatomb Leggings
So I installed K-Parser, and also made sure I had NET 3.5 and SQLCE 3.5.
For whatever reason it's not working. It starts and acts like it's working, but it doesn't do anything.
Any idea why this is? I got Vista, not sure if that matters or not.
From the readme file:
Also, check for the error.log file to see if the program is generating exceptions. If so, further support may be needed.If you are running Windows Vista, you may need to adjust the runtime permisssions for the program.
Right click on the .exe file and select Properties. Go to the Compatibility tab and check the check box "Run this program as an Administrator".
Data on Mordant Rime skillchains are reversed. It's Fragmentation A, Distortion B. Tested with Samurai:
Kassha -> Rime : Light <Fusion A, Compression B>
Rime -> Kassha : Light
Rime -> Ran'a : Darkness <Gravitation A, Induration B>
Ran'a -> Rime : Fragmentation
I know it's an lolBRD's WS, but come on. Something this simple shouldn't be left wrong this long.
Insurgency spikes for the same people using the same weapons, base damage should not be a consideration.
I have KJ and Insurgency and they're both very good; my issue is the inconsistent outperformance of their counterparts RR / Guillo. At this point, when I merit, I almost just choose my WS by which animation I would prefer to see at any given time...
New WS animation was actually a problem for me the other night, lol. Was helping Tan unlock Kamu, when mobs were low health I would use DB then try to turn so that I didn't hit them anymore, so that he didn't accidentally killshot with Ten...by the time DB animation finished and I was no longer locked from turning I would have 4 Joyeuse swings in![]()
I am another one of those "looking for a reason to use the new WS" people. So far I have...
Atonement - Fun to play with, but havent been able to see huge numbers on anything worthwile
Blade: Kamu - Nice for soloing i suppose (which i dont do on nin anyway), Should have used blade:jin
Insurgency - As much as some people here love it. I have used it in just about every situation except XP and still not seeing the numbers I see from guillo. If im doing something wrong let me know...
Perdu/Pole Strap/Bomblet
Heca Head/PCC/Ethereal/Brutal
Ares Cuirass/Chs. Gauntlets+1/Rajas/Ulthalams
Cerb+1/Potent/Black Cuisses/Heca Feet
Im not really having a problem connecting, getting full or close tp return, but even in junk events like limbus im stuck around ~500ish compared to ~800+ guillotines.
King's Justice - Nice to look at, but Raging Rush still better in my experience. - Similar gear to posted above with the exception of
Chs. Gauntlets+1 -> Heca hands and
Black Cuisses -> Kittypants.
Mandalic Stab - This so far is the best IMO. Of course not useful in XP, id still use dancing edge. However in events like dynamis xarc demons, HNM, any highly evasive mob I am getting better results due to its 1 hit, cant miss with SA or TA nature.
Edit: Of course the new WS attributes for skillchains are a nice side bonus though.
I have nearly the same gear as you do for Insurgency (Chaos Burg +1 instead of Heca, Heca Harness instead of Ares, Abyssal instead of Ethereal, Forager's instead of Cerb +1, and Flame gorget instead of PCC), and Insurgency regularly does within 50-100 damage as Guillotine, and sometimes surpasses due to no reason that I know of.
I use Tred Scythe and it does almost the same/sometimes more damage than Guillotine a lot more. For the record, I can afford perdu (130k IS) but personally I'd like to not wear something that looks like it was manufactured by Mattel.
Maybe I'm criting on WS a lot or not, but I wouldn't be using it often if it didn't do aswell or better than Guillotine.
Atonement is easily the best WS out of all the WSs added and is a beast of a WS imo.
I tank almost everything with Joyuese now and bust out tons of damage with it. The first couple WS are usually 500 or so, which is easy to get with a couple /ja and flash, but after about 15m of tanking it gets to 700+ pretty easily. It has somewhat changed the way I tank some mobs, adding in Haste/Acc to Idle sets just to hit faster/more(using Avalon Breastplate most of the time now). It has sped up our kill times by a pretty good chunk and I can only imagine how crazy it would be if any of our other PLDs had it. It's also great for adding PLD into some SCs when we low man things that need MBs(Sandworm BCs, etc). Atonement is a really nice addition to PLD, giving it the ability to help in damage as well as tanking.
There are very few HNMs you don't engage and can't use it, for everything else it tears them up. If you haven't seen any real use for it yet, you either don't tank anything you can melee for some reason or are doing something wrong. I'm absolutely in love with this WS.
This is the problem.
King's Justice is a 3-hit, 50% STR modded, non-critting WS. In other words, the stuff that works for RR, doesn't exactly work completely for KJ, and as such, changes are needed. Ares', Relic, almost anything would be better in terms of sheer damage, as the Haidate are really only giving you 12~ accuracy and nothing more. If you need the accuracy, then sure, but there's a lot better options for damage in of itself.
On the flip side, I have found a lot of good in Insurgency since I got it. Its a terrible WS to kill mobs with, as if the thing dies with only the first hit getting through, it looks terrible due to damage, but its a great looking WS, has great SC properties, and moreover, gets better with TP. So I don't feel like shit those times where something has happened and I have 200%, and I'm feeling like I'm pissing away a whole WS by using Guillo, especially since Cross Reaper just doesn't do what I want it to, and I avoid Spiral Hell/300% situations when at all possible.
Yup.
My RR set after I get Nhead:
Rampager/Brave(Pole, whatever, brave makes me happy)/_/Bcore
Nhead/Snow/Brutal/Hollow
Berk+1/Nhands/Flame/Rajas
Forag/Warwolf/Haidate/nfeet
KJ when I finally get it (fuckin assault curse strikes again, 0/13, WRYYY!!)
Nhead/Chiv (til I get the right gorget)/Brutal/lolBushi
Nbody/Nhands (maybe Alky's after gorget, still 3 hit)/Flame/Rajas
Fora (prolly better than smilo +1 still)/Warwolf/Fourth schoss (af2 don't exist)/Nfeet
