Okay, I guess I'll test MND.
Okay, I guess I'll test MND.
Not sure if it has been tested or not...
I just got Expiacion tonight and did some testing
100% is as what is reported 1.5. Went out to West Saru and killed some mandies at 200 and 300%
fTP seems to be:
200% - 2.0
300% - 2.5
BLU/THF
Forced /SA on Expiacion
No Gear
Wightslayer - 41 DMG
Str - 54
Int - 69
206% TP = 490 DMG
300% TP = 608 DMG

** Didn't do as many of these, 'cause it was getting boring saving up 300%, took forever ... maybe more later if we need it.
Is this enough data for semi-decent analysis? It looks to me, at least, that INT doesn't do anything for it.
Tried to help my blue friend with learning spells. Fed tp via spells->Atonement and nothing. Used a tp move like 5-10secs later tho.
Thought that maybe it depends on the damage of Atonement but same results.
Tried different spells like Asuran claw(6hit), Hyst.Barrage(5hit), Banish etc.
We used spells which should bring the mobs tp to 100-140.
Did we do something wrong? We fought against Zdeis, Phuabos and Aerns.
I don't know. Every time I've seen the ws be used (SHNMs, Splitting Heirs, Campaign) wses got used immediatly. I saw back to back wses with atonement, with the only pauses being if the mob was doing ranged attack/spell. Maybe it only does that in the past? Our pld are currently convinced it works like that but they never really do it when they dont have hate. I think more testing is still needed.
on a slightly irrelevant note, ascetics fury is totally awesome in ballista when you can't hit that damned thf that's wittling away at your hp slowly, and you know asuran will miss most of its hits too. 500+ every time. that makes them run away fast.

Seconding the weird damage on this WS
(The one on the skele was like 200tp, the wingrat was 100. ignore my cleave because I didnt bring my AF body out of storage just to poke around)
I'd like to play more with this WS next time I get to use my blu~
These numbers are similar to the ones that Izzy posted a while back. Would it be possible to test with a higher damage weapon? Both you and Izzy chose weapons that are close together in damage and it would be good to see if there is any variation for higher damage weapons.
Also, your numbers definately show that INT is not a modifier on this weapon skill. The average between your base test and the INT test is exactly the same.
I just unlocked Atonement last night, and tested it outside whitegate. Used it three times, and each time there was no immediate mob WS after I used Atonement.
Perhaps either people are just using the WS when the mob has TP, or Atonement grants a bunch of TP to the mob, or forces a mob with enough TP to use it? Can we get a PLD and BST to verify? Shouldn't be too hard. Get a BST to charm a mob after the PLD hits it once, and measure the Pet TP. Repeat, except this time, have the PLD hit the mob once, and then use Atonement. If the mob TP gained is high, this might explain the 'forced TP moves'.
It's considereed a 2 hit 'magic' weapon skill so it should give the mob 20% TP. Rather than other weapon skills which give (TP gained by the ws user)+3
Yeah, that makes sense. I had a feeling it was just a case of 'higher than usual TP gain' as opposed to forced monster TP moves. I would have been pissed had that been the case, since from what I have noticed, Atonement has the potential to kick ass in certain situations. Gonna test it on Ultima tomorrow, since I never seem to need TP for Chivalry anymore...
Then more than likely the 629 could have been a double attack? I've been messing around with it all weekend and have yet to see it spike (testing without homam or brutal). Since Expiacion = Expiation in the English Language, it means a form of atonement. In doing so, I have tried various different things such as holding a mob for hate using Actinic Burst, Low HP, and Killer effects all of which have no affect on the weaponskill.
Also, it would be nice to see what gear and stats the user had in that screenshot. The 265 on the Wingrat does appear to be only the 2nd hit landing though.
If possible, could you also test some @200TP? From your numbers, whatever the fTP modifier is @100TP and @300TP, I can tell that @300TP it is double that of @100TP.

Thanks. We now have the following sets of data (RyaWHM and Izzy):
MND 62 DMG 3 TP 106 Avg DMG 149 (Izzy)
MND 67 DMG 1 TP 100 Avg DMG 155 (RyaWHM)
MND 67 DMG 39 TP 104 Avg DMG 281 (RyaWHM)
MND 77 DMG 3 TP 106 Avg DMG 170 (Izzy)
MND 114 DMG 1 TP 100 Avg DMG 215 (RyaWHM)
MND 114 DMG 39 TP 104 Avg DMG 343 (RyaWHM)
MND 114 DMG 1 TP 300 Avg DMG 428 (RyaWHM)
Izzy's numbers have sneak attack in them as well. It looks like this WS is MND 65% and fTP 1.0 @100 1.5@200 (guess) 2.0@300.
