Assuming he used destroyers at +48 delay ffxi calc says that is 4.9 tp per hit which gives 9.8 for a non double attack - 10.8 3 hit - 11.8 4hit
These would be truncated to 9-10-11 tp on the menu
Hes states his high dmg numbers at 10 and 11 tp which are 3 and 4 hit crits

We would have to verify that with him considering he could be using cross counters.

It is a good point that he only stated TP return and I see now that it was my assumption that he meant No DA when it could have been DA and double DA procs.

It also important to note that he could have store TP gear such as usukane and rajas ring that make TP return changes.

Muinaru could you verify this please with your gear that you wore for the tests?

Do H2H WSs count for the single-hit bonus? MNK has no choice but to make a minimum of two swings on every WS...

It's Full + Full. The same goes for Mystic Boon while dual wielding. You perform a second hit with the offhand.

I have found Dual Wielding while doing Mystic Boon boost damage to considerable amounts.

No Double Attack gear (Brutal removed)
    WHM/NIN

    Single Wield:
    Martial Wand
    DMG 35
    STR: 71
    MND: 99

    ~100% TP
    http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/j...sticsingle.jpg

Since Martial Wand seems to boost damage more than the Brass Jaganda I have (DMG 45) I tried offhanding it so that it would boost the dmg of the offhand hit.

    Dual Wield:
    Main: Martial Wand
    DMG 35 TP Bonus
    Sub: Brass Jaganda
    DMG 45
    STR: 71
    MND: 99

    ~100% TP
    http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/j...mysticdual.jpg

Now Same Setup, only this time, I had my SAM friend use Shikikyo to bring me above 200% TP to cause it to perform as if it were 300%
Different mob this time instead of using Beetles which are PLD's, I tried on a Hill Lizard

    http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/j...mysticfull.jpg

edit: These were done on mobs in Meriphitaud Mountains [S]. The Beetles are around Level 45-48 and the Lizards are around 43-45

It's kinda funny WHM got themselves a WS that could justify them meleeing long before RDMs.

Hmm, I was using Destroyers for H2H, as well as Rajas + Brutal, so +6 Store TP.

From more testing over the past few days, I'm also fairly sure that 10% is my normal full TP return, and 11% is my DA TP return.

Since whenever I have been in Limbus or Einherjar, I get a average of 600-750dmg with 10% return, then around 900-1k+ when I get 11% return. As well as when I miss a hit, it gives 5% return and does around 250-350 damage.

I dunno though, I just haven't ever gotten a 11% return without it being a really above average number. Some of the 10% returns really do surprise me sometimes though.

Maybe this was SE's solution to the RDM>WHM issue in TP burns.

We hit 85 last week. We've only done 80 twice and are 2/2 on body drops (Askar and Golliard). One of our members went AWOL when we were on floor 30 so while we looked for a rep, we farmed weapons for a few weeks. When we did find one, he climbed with us from 30 to 80 and then we went back to floor 1 to build his disc alternating with 1x80 run and 2-3 climbing runs for his disc.

As far as the weaponskills, the most I did was 4960 on my first weapon and vowed to climb more until I broke another. Overall between 4 weapons I've done about 8000 points >_<. If only that damn Main Gauche would drop... 35 total runs and not a single Main Gauche in sight.

This is exactly what i get as well.
    10% = both hits connect
    5% = missed one
    11% = DA

A "sweet spot" damage wise is around the 150 - 200 mark. Seem to get the best results around there.

I was talking to Muinaru (Uranium) on LS while he was doing these tests. We were discussing the different tp return etc, so I can help answer your questions there:

Rajas/Brutal was his only STP. He was using Destroyers. I'll let him know you're interested in his specific gear sets so he can be more specific if you need.

I got Mordant Rime recently for Bard and for those Bards that like meleeing sometimes on stuff (disclaimer: I only do ths for fun, never in an exp PT/end-game situation)... it, least in my eyes so far, owns Evisceration, so I'm going to post relating to my personal experience with it.

SC stuff that I can vouch for:
It can open and close Light with a Fusion-attribute WS.
It can only open Darkness. Closing results in Fragmentation.
Did this by helping other people unlock WS's and the like.

    Damage randomness:
As far as I can tell, it is a very potent WS for BRD, mainly due to how much CHR we already have and I'd personally rank it above Evisceration. The subjob of choice so far, for me, has been /NIN only. I've been inclined to test /THF damage, and have been recommended to do so and I probably will eventually. I like /NIN's guaranteed offhand hit though, least so far.

These damage testings were all on the same mob (Lesser Colibri), of course there'll be level variations and the like.

    When I first got it:
    http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/h...ordantRime.png

It felt good to have a decent weaponskill on Bard; I didn't even have Evisceration yet. I grew tired of spamming Viper Bite (offhand hit, more chances at skillups) / Gust Slash (damage) when I was trying to cap dagger skill.

On those mobs, that turned out to be my average. ~1100-1400, with +26 DEX and +46 CHR or so roughly.

A couple weaponskills later I had a lucky brutal earring proc:

    http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/h...rdantRime2.png

And after having CHR etudes up and having another brutal earring proc:

    http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/h...rdantRime3.png
That one just flat out amazed me for some reason.

Needless to say, I was surprised. Gravity effect worked regardless of the mob, can't refuse some extra accuracy (due to lower mob evasion) in situations where a bard'd melee something. I know a few BRDs that like to BRD burn once in a while and I'll probably get into one of those sometime and see how it works out.

I was pretty amazed with Mystic Boon on WHM because how awesome it was to regain MP like that, but I'm also amazed at this. This is a fun weaponskill; least it has been to me.

Definitely should, just to play around. A WS with 3.0 fTP and nasty mods should make for deliciousness with SA. Pretty sick numbers, comin from Brd. 1839 sheesh.

Who knows, but christ on a cracker, BRD can WS better, too. Don't think I've ever broken 1200 on Vorpal with RDM, and it was on stuff a lot weaker than Collibri.

From what I've seen, the first hit definitely has the bonus, but not the second.

Also seriously, status on glanz? :3 (I miss 'disable smilies' -_-)

This is why Balrahn said a BRD doesn't need a dagger to sing.

The description says "Damage varies with TP." So I would assume that 4.0 fTP isn't the end of the story...probably 4.0/4.25/4.75 like Trueflight and Leaden Salute.
