After entering the final phase, yeah. First WS was while it was on four legs too, when it normally takes low physical damage.

Some Kamu vs Jin numbers form L.Colibri (small sample since I'm bout to go to Salvage)

    Kamu: 673(10% return), 780(10%), 503(z), 515(z), 463, 461, 529(z), 658(10%)
    Jin: 733, 872(zerk), 550, 627, 875(z), 737

    (Got a 4% ,9% and 10% Kamus, left out the 4% which was 225)

Didn't try to test different mods or anything, just used Jin gear + Soil Gorget.

    Senji - Perdu - - F.Bomblet
    Shura - Soil - Merman's - Brutal
    Hauby+1 - Enkidu's mittens - Triumph - Rajas
    Cerb - Warwolf - Byakko's - Denali

I was noticing that too. I only had a few minutes, but it appears to be related to something else. Magic Evasion Reduction is, I'm sure, related to TP. It's hard to test that particular stat, though. Not only is it relatively intangible, you're also going to have to find mobs that are at least relatively resistant to your enfeebles at a 75 RDM.

Regarding the actual damage I was keeping my gear consistent, but having relatively large fluctuations in damage, apart from the obvious 1-2-3 hits. Hitting when all three hit for anywhere from 300 to 372. I was trying to determine something HP or MP related, but ran out of free time before Salvage.

Atonement is magic damage. I can't take Screenshots (no windower) but it was fully resisted (ala "had no effect message.") in limbus vs. pots when they used magic shield. And against the magic immune gigas (did 0 damage).

Hmmm, isn't Omega's final form resistant to both magic and physical though? Or am I off on that.

Looks like Kamu would be good for solo and tanking situations when the acc down is needed, but for damage jin is still king. I like that though, Ill finally have a reason to sometimes not use jin.(Just got my sasuke katana, but I have a lot of points to get since Im floor 0)

I don't mean to sound so clueless, but why is Pachipachio being listed as the better GKT to use with Tachi: Rana compared to Onimaru?

    DMG: 82 Delay: 480 Accuracy -6
    Attack +12
    "Store TP" +2

    VS

    DMG: 77 Delay: 450
    Latent effect: DMG: 83
    Attack +18 Accuracy +5

    I mean, to me Onimaru has more DMG, more ATK and more ACC. Is it because of the delay difference? I'm a bit confused here. ^^;

    Atonement tests:

I went out to West Ronfaure and killed some rabbits to try to find a general equation for Atonement damage with respect to enmity from Kaeko's enmity tables. Here's some data:

All tests done with only enmity +4 (from merits), and using Dispel. I'd simply Dispel a rabbit from close proximity and wait about 6-7 seconds for the VE to decay. According to Kaeko's formulas, I should have 332.8 CE at that point, and 0 VE.

Baseline: Atonement with 0 CE = 0 damage

    Atonement with 332.8 CE = 48 damage

This was repeated five times for the same exact result. So, assuming the equation is linear, we should have a result of about .144231 damage per CE.

Interesting note: Assuming this is correct, the CE enmity cap of 10,000 should produce an Atonement for 1442.31 damage, but clearly it seems that Atonement is limited at around 750 damage from previous reports. That means you only need about 5,000 CE (or half the cap) to produce the maximum Atonement damage.

Here was the fun part: I wanted to try to generate an Atonement for somewhere around 500 damage. To do this, following that equation, I would need 3466.66 CE. So, since Dispel generates 332.8 CE per cast, I decided that I would simply cast 10 of them and wait for the VE to decay. Hopefully this would produce a result of 480 damage exactly.

    So, here's the test:

    Atonement with 3328 CE:

    http://img329.imageshack.us/img329/3...onementrv7.jpg

It didn't work, so there's another variable (possibilities would be level related, time related, or simply that my experiment failed!).

However, this does conclusively prove that Atonement's damage is directly related to the current amount of CE (also possibly to VE, but I didn't want to try testing that because it's constantly decaying, what a headache that would be!). Either way, conclusive evidence of enmity affecting it, and NOT HP, so that's good enough for me. Time to sleep. D:

Could also have a bit of VE in the damage equation.

Either way, I love this new WS.

So if I'm fighting a PLD in ballista with Atonement and I super jump him, it should deal 0 damage if he uses it on me right after? This could be a neat way to test how much enmity highjump sheds with and without wyrm brais! by seeing how much atonement's damage decreases in ballista with/without wyrm brais+high jump :D

Just general confirmation, there is definitely something about Hagun that Tachi: Rana does not agree with. I was randomly testing out GKTs on Lesser Colibri and Hagun was the worst of the group by far. I was switching between Hagun, Pachipachio, and Ushikirimaru.

Pachi came out on top easily, with a few breaking 1000 (I wasn't macro'ing my WS set).

People seem to think giving up DoT so you can give up WS dmg so you can WS a little more often is a good idea? You are most likely correct though. Pachi is sadly, not a very good weapon.

    Great test!

To nitpick, you just round down on those 4 merit calculations, so it's 332 CE, not 332.8.

Also, the absolute easiest way to test VE effects... use what you did with 1 dispel, then 2nd time, pop 2hr before you use it. 7000+ VE is pretty hard to miss if it does indeed affect things. Using PLD 2hr is how I pretty much did every VE related test since it's generally really hard to do those.

    EDIT:

Did you test this solo? Remember that first dispel adds +200 CE and +900 VE if you pulled with it (frst action generates extra hate remember).

I did the calculation if you did indeed run this test w/o a 2nd puller and you end up with...

    1 Dispel as Puller, with +4 enmity >> 540 CE >> 48 damage...

    Modifier = 48/540 = 0.088888... = 4/45

But remember rounding errors... so the mod can be between 48/540 and 49/540...

Mod assuming linear formula is between 48/540 (0.0888) and 49/540 (0.09074)...

Second test with 10 dispels, 1 of them the pulling spell, with +4 enmity >> 3536 CE >> 317 damage...

    Modifier = 317/3536 = ~0.08965

Notice that falls within the given range!!! If we do the same range error it's 317/3536 and 318/3536...

    TL;DR Version:

Based on Therin's initial tests (assuming he forgot the +200 pulling CE)...

Atonement damage follows the formula of...

    Damage = ~0.090 x CE (possibly TE)

This means you should get the 'capped' 750 Atonement with 8333 CE or TE...

Need to test if it's only CE or including CE and VE (TE). Judging by others' I'd say it's just CE

Also, I would test this with someone in party getting enmity as well... seems that may affect it.

    SECOND EDIT:

The mod is PROBABLY 23/256 (just because we love binary), which is 0.08984375. This falls in the range of 0.089649 and 0.089932.

Also, judging by the other results of this, I think having other ppl on the hate list will affect (lower) the damage this deals.

Did some initial testing for Primal Rend(BST). Nothing formal yet with an extremely small sample size, numbers were jotted down so there may be a little inaccuracy.

Single hit light elemental. Can be resisted. Dmg was very consistent
Not effected by weapon damage. Same damage from a lvl 1 axe as Maneater
    Definitely effected by MAB.

    LVL 0 mob testing
    Naked /SAM 70 base CHR ~100TP = 540 dmg naked
    Naked /Sam 70 bsae CHR ~300tp = 625 dmg naked
    Naked /BLM 70 base CHR ~100TP = 667 dmg naked

    Mod is CHR
    70 CHR + 35 ~ 630-645 dmg
    70 CHR + 45 ~ 675-677 dmg
    70 CHR + 45 CHR + 5 m.atk from moldy = 711 DMG

Warped to Whitegate, Grabbed more CHR gear and uggy pendant. Swapped to /nin
    Base 68 CHR + 51 CHR + 5m.atk + 8.m.atk

    Lesser Colibri
    ~100tp = 570 DMG

    One T Marid
    ~110-139TP (usually one round after 100tp) = 639, 644, 633, 395 after barrier tusk (resist?)

For XP mobs, not as good as rampage. Less damage, less tp returned. Currently unknown on the resist rate on harder mobs.

I need to get the correct gorget. Move aside scholars and blms, I need novio now too.

edit: Didn't notice any additional effects.
edit2: Too sleepy, light elemental threw me off. Soil Gorget should work since this is part of gravitation. Will have to test Soil Gorget vs Uggy.

Vidohunir(BLM WS) - Didn't see it mentioned anywhere else really. Unlocked it today and did a little testing on the Magic def down.

Spammed Blizz for 65 damage. Used weapon skill. Same mob. Spammed Blizz some more for 71 damage.

Weapon Skill itself damage was pretty weak(186 and 245). Didn't use it but twice though, so could be wrong.

Taru BLM/RDM vs. Ep Yags in Saruta(s). Had haste and accy gear on at the time.

Did a little testing outside in Saruta on level 1's. Naked did 2 for 450 damage exactly each time. Put on Errant Body(-7 STR/DEX/VIT/AGI +10 INT/MND/CHR) and I got a 480.

Vidohunir -> Steel Cyclone = Distortion
