    Parallels of VMwar Fusion?

So I just got my new Macbook Pro, installed windows xp and all the extras and I'm having trouble running it without lag and other issues. So my question is have others had better luck using parallels or VMware Fusion? And what sepcifications did you use for each? For example, how much memory did you allocate to the windows partition? Any advice for running this smoothly on my mac would greatly be appreciated.

I have used it and it doesnt work correctly. It runs but 90% of your armor doesnt appear on the size. So basically I was seeing abunch of floating heads.... it wasnt good.

If you get it and have better luck let me know how, I would love to use it.

BTW: I run XP/Vista on my MacPro and it runs prefectly for me.

Well you have to have bootcamp for it to work at all haha. I'm just seeing if its possible for it to be playable in either fusion or parallels

You don't -need- to use Bootcamp for Parallels or Fusion, you can simply use the Bootcamp partition if you have one.

That being said, I believe Fusion was farther along on Direct3D support than Parallels, so if it doesn't work in that (which I don't think it does), then you'd be outta luck as far as that goes.

You wont need to use Bootcamp if you buy Fusion/Parallels. You just need to partition the HD so there is 2 different partitions. You can do this in the "Disk Utility" program under applications.

Edit: opps didnt read the post under the quote.... my bad

Here's to hoping VMware has a breakthru....
