Studying science and business and things like that are great, but they're different than studying philosophy, which is....quite literally... the pursuit of wisdom. The object isn't to be right and then boast arrogantly about it, it's to find out what's true through debate and logical inquiry. And if you really think the answer is "Well science DUH hahahaha tard" then I guess I have nothing to say to you, and you can have fun wallowing in your ignorance.

So there are things we can know, but "I believe in the big bang" is not an answer to those questions. Being able to understand why we can observe what we observe and the objective qualitative truths about the universe is something you're going to have to face sometime in your life, and how you react to it is going to shape who you are, believe me.

No offense to Max, but half the time he sounds like he doesn't know what he's talking about. The Large Hadron Collider near Geneva will be out of action for at least two months, the European Organization for Nuclear Research (Cern) says.

Part of the giant physics experiment was turned off for the weekend while engineers probed a magnet failure.

But a Cern spokesman said damage to the £3.6bn ($6.6bn) particle accelerator was worse than anticipated.

The LHC is built to smash protons together at huge speeds, recreating conditions moments after the Big Bang.

Scientists hope it will shed light on fundamental questions in physics.
