Keira Knightley is also my pick, good man.
Yes yes. Half Life references. But what about DC's Crisis on Infinite Earths? If memory serves correctly, didn't Pariah use a machine to discover the birth of the universe and accidentally create the multiverse?
Get ready to say hello to Earth 2, 3, 4, 5, 6........
In which case I WOULD be down for tag teamin a girl... with my earth 2 self! Also threesome with GF and earth 2 GF. Also we could trade GF's with each other.
IE:
Me="Ill trade you my earth 2 GF for your earth 2 GF"
Friend"No way dude gimme your earth 3 GF I'm in to redheads."
hmmm sliders comes to mind. those ifinite universe could all be different from our own. like earth two could be ruled by Nazis and earth 3 could be all us caucasians are slaves to black ppl. hmm the possibilities
fuck we're still alive.
dammit and i had my crowbar ready too
If it works, it will be a monumental achievement for humans.
If it destroys the earth, it will be a monumental achievement for humans.
I love all the people in this thread that stated that this will 100% not end the world. How the fuck do you know?! If you know what's going to happen, you should've said, and saved the world $10bn or whatever it cost.
On a lighter note, I hope that some base level scientific "law" is found to not work due to the results this thing produces.
Here's a question:
What would you expect a person do? Fly off the cuff?
It might also be human instinct; give the unstoppable a lighter side and it'll be shrugged off.
I personally wouldn't care one way or another; I could step outside and might get shot, all i just did about worrying about a black hole and the LHC was for what at that point?
I'd rather worry more about the fact that I'm in my office instead of outside enjoying a bloody fabulous day. Which should have been spent smoking a fat bowl of 420, reading a book and enjoying the breeze, listening to Bob Dylan.
UNFORSEEN CONSEQUENCES...

HOW I KNOW THE LHC WON'T DESTROY THE WORLD:
Cosmic Rays strike the upper atmosphere with more energy than the LHC will possibly generate.
This happens all the time at random.
These highly energetic events have not yet destroyed the world.
Simple logic: The LHC, which is less energetic, cannot destroy the world.
