Is this a show you can start watching if you didn't see the first season? Might catch the premier since it is on after Bones now.

They usually do a bit of a catch up. I would recommend going back and watching some episodes on Hulu though. There's a lot of concepts and plot points that will carry over into this season.

It's sort of like x-files in that a lot of the time it's "monster-of-the-week" but there is also an overarching plot that is touched upon in most episodes.

Excellent opener all around though I could really tell from the sets that they switched to Vancouver. Anna just rocks and the team seems together as ever. Even Nina and Phillip lol

It was the shape shifter. Rick Acevedo got fired and only made a cameo for this seasons pilot.

Hang on. I'm aware of the rumor and he did not get fired. What I am a little confused about is this whole shape shifter thing.

So the girl the shifter turned into was already dead. The shifter then attacks Olivia, takes 2 bullets and jumps out the window like a champ. Shifter hops down from seeing, blam blam, "Charlie" shoots and kills shifter. If shifter is dead, it cannot presumably change shapes again. Come end of episode, "Charlie" is throwing presumably real Charlie's body in the incinerator. That's what leads me to believe there is another Charlie running around. We already know Peter had an alternate him that died, so maybe this is the other Charlie, and he is evil.

They never showed her/him being hit by the shots.

We can assume that this person has unlikely attributes, ie super strength/speed/agility, seeing how they jumped out of the 109929th story of the hospital and landed.

When Charlie finally goes to shoot her it goes to a blank screen, by the time they ran to him we don't really know how far away they are from them. Seeing how those tunnels could be forever and they didn't know where they were exactly.

Could of easily been enough time for him to do the switch and hide the body.

The sequence of events seems more like Charlie is ambushed by the shape shifter, killed in some way, and then the killer changes his face with him, strips off his clothes, and assumes his identity. He then fired shots into the woman from before to make it appear like 'she' was killed by Charlie.

I think the plot hole is going from 2 bodies to 3 bodies unless the "real" nurse that he killed earlier in the episode was already down there.

I assumed this was his contingency plan. If he gets caught, fake his own death using the real body, if not, incinerate it. The real plot hole is no one asking where the second nurse body is, since from the character's perspective there should be the shifter's body and the real nurse's body.

I don't see it being the shifter because what do we gain by knowing that he shifted now. If it was just the shifter why not give us a huge mind fuck 5 eps from now going holy shit its been the shifter the whole time. But if its Charlie beta, then they would need to establish when he showed up to dump charlie alpha plus it would then lead to confusion and theories about what happened. My take on it anyhoo.
