At this point Peter is a logical adult. He will likely be pissed, but look at the alternative to his abduction: death. Even if she does tell him it will be important. Remember what the observer told Walter "The boy is important." Olivia telling him he is from the other side could be part of the difficulties the observers have stated she will face in the not so distant future.

I am guessing that ultimately, Peter returning to the alternate universe is going to be key in fixing the problems that Walter started with his machine. Although every time the mad doctor that now has the old wormhole tech uses it, he compounds the problem. We now know for certain why Walter knows so much about other side.

The writers said from the outset of the series that they wrote the ending first then they are figuring out a way to get there.

Who knows what will come of all this...

Sorry for asking, but overall how has the season 2 been so far? I quit watching it at the start of season 2, because it kinda pissed me off that the whole thing "restarted" after all the things introduced at the end of season 1. Then I came here and saw some of the comments saying the season ain't that good and thought that it's not worth my time to continue watching.

But now when I read your comments, I feel like giving it a second go.. Should I? Is the plot actually moving somewhere at a decent pace like in season 1?

The show's gotten better as its progressed.

and yea, the retro opening was brilliant.

The beginning of Season 2 definitely wasn't a restart... And yeah, season 2 has progressed the story quite a lot. Things are finally falling into place.

Not a restart, but "I forgot what happened now let's have a whole season about trying to remember it". Then maybe at the end of the season 2 we'll finally see what she did in the alternate universe and the plot moves onward just slightly again. It's a decent series but I don't want it to drag more than it already did. That was just lame imo.

But if it gets better, I'll keep watching it..
