Can't wait for the last 2 episodes...but at the same time, it'll be bittersweet and leaving my hanging for *hopefully* the next season.![]()
Sorry. Most people don't spoiler shit in the Lost thread or this one, so I figured all was good. I'm usually pretty good with the spoiler tags, but failed this time. I usually avoid all these threads til I watch the show. Going off the last show though where Walternate came over (we weren't sure at the time who it was) but unless you're braindead it's pretty evident it was him. Sorry again Tyche!
I just didn't expect him to show up with three episodes left. Figured it would be a season-ending cliffhanger. All good though, I should have known better than to click the thread.
fucking guy on my facebook like 5 minutes after Lost aired was like OMG RIP NAMES OF CHARACTERS
raaaaaage
Epic as hell.
This season man, pure genius.
Why do they call Walternate Mr. Secretary anyway?
Should we assume he works as a secretary for Bell or something?
Secretary of Defense?
yeah, sounds like some kind of military title
On the Fox/Fringe site, there's a small interview with John Noble. He talks about the differences between the two Walters and says that Walternate went into politics.
I remember when Olivia crossed, Bell had said that Peter needs to be a better man than his father. So I'm sure there's no [positive] relationship between walternate and Bell.
are we sure that the Bell that Olivia met was the Bell from this universe? if so, where is Bellternate?
retired! I doubt we ever see or hear from Bell again seeing as how what happened with Leonard Nimoy and him announcing his retirement. Kinda sucks, but I hope they can write their ways out of that. Maybe an off screen death? Would be lame as hell, but what do you do in that scenario. Unless they replace him with a younger version a la Star Trek. Hell, Zachary Quinto could be Bellie!
I think, (not 100% sure) that Nemoy said that while he was retiring, he will still appear in an episode or 2 of Fringe as a favour to Abrams.
Also its quite likey that Walternate is Secretary of State or Defense. He is certainly in a position of power as the go-to-guy for the other side regardless. Remember them saying that Walters original foray to the other side kicked off something called the Blight. They havent (to my knowledge) clarified what that is, just that its a real bad spreading unnatural disaster. While Peter is certainly at the heart of the matter, I think its the blight that is the main reason for universe B declaring war on universe A as well as the reason for the other side being more technologically advanced (not only did Walternate not waste 15 years in an asylum, he probably had some massive government backing).
Edit: Hey 100 posts - only took 4 years lol.
It's awesome that Nimoy finished up his work on Fringe.
actually, they never confirmed that Walter crossing to the other side caused the Blight, just the Pattern. My theory on the Blight is that it happened a long time ago, and Walternate had plans to use Peter to solve it but those were delayed once Peter was taken by Walter. But hopefully next week explains everything.
