the show is slowly becoming an ex deus machina orgy party
From Reddit post:
First Peter's telephone conversation in the hospital. I think it's significant. The problem is that we seem to be hearing two different trains of thought. We hear what he is saying and we hear errant thoughts. I'll put what I believe to be errant thoughts in [brackets].
"[Machine] What if they're right... they were collecting intelligence [machine] for two years".
Anyway, that's what I heard.
My guess is that he was talking to the same person that called him in Reciprocity when he said Massive Dynamic called him for more test. We know it wasn't Massive Dynamic because Nina tried to call him later to set something up. He is working with someone else. Someone we already met or a new character?
Next, Sam Weiss. He's a freaking liar and here's why. The code to Bell's safe was 052010#. This is May 20th, 2010 which is the original air date of Over There part 2. In this episode we see "A DEMONS TWIST RUSTS" written on Walternate's chalkboard in his Harvard lab. This is an anagram of "DON'T TRUST SAM WEISS". He has his own agenda and we can't take his discussion with Nina at face value. Hell, we can't even trust that the legend of the First People isn't a complete fabrication on his part.
Has my memory completely vanished or have we still not learned why Sam Weiss is important at all (aside from being told, he is important, deal with it)?
Also, I hate this love triangle nonsense that the show is pushing towards :/
I just listened to the conversation over and over like 60 times, and this is what I heard from it: "that [machine] exactly... she read the files... what if they're right, what if that [machine] gathered intel on us for over two years, (what about) [machine] they don't know anything else, it's all good... I'll leave right now"
that (what about) I added because it doesn't sound like Peter's voice. So who's he talking to? Sam Weiss?

I think I've seen this episode on The Young and the Restless. Father of the baby in an alternate dimension and all.
Funny you should say that:
If this paternity shocker at first blush appears a smidge soapy for a series as risk-taking as Fringe, rest assured that this ain’t no shopworn General Hospital storyline coming your way.
“We get to tell stories that maybe you understand as a viewer, and you’ve seen before” – but always with a twist, exec producer J.H. Wyman points out. “This is not the first time you’ve heard about somebody having an affair, which is always interesting drama. But it becomes a totally different thing when the person your loved one has fooled around with is another version of yourself!”
“In keeping with that,” Wyman continues, “this reveal will not unfold in a way that is traditional. So people should prepare for that, because it should be very interesting.”
Pretty sure they can use the baby to either a) use the Cortexiphan on, or b) activate the machine somehow. Or maybe both.
Well, at least they're aware of it.
What do you all think about the observers? We've seen some of them in both unverses, but I'm inclined to believe they can go back and forth between the two(or more) universes more than I think they have alternates. Do you think they're from both universes, outside the universes or from a different time period when only one of the universes exist?
And do they live in the blue area of the moon?
