Honestly not sure if I'm going to like this or not. Next season definitely won't be similar to previous seasons...And @Null, everytime I see the ginormous Ford Focus ad in each episode it makes me laugh...it's just too obvious of an ad and I feel it takes away the seriousness of the show for those x amount of seconds whenever they do it.

Eh, why worry about the blatent product placement when it's probably the only reason we're even able to see Fringe on our TV's. Chuck's the same way with Subway and that car in the last episode which I can't quite remember the brand of....

Another one that stood out were the cell phones that they had visual chat going. But yeah, anything that pays for the show is fine in my book. 24 had some serious product placement in the last few seasons as well. You just kind of get used to it.

to the guy asking about the observers at the end. Peter never really existed in the TV shows timeline. Future Peter killed other universe, so they sent the machine back to the paleoic period to be discovered and fix the future timeline. Now, how present Peter existed is a bit beyond me, possibly observers setting that up. But now that he served his purpose of fixing the future timeline, he was no longer needed and poof'd

Someone can attempt to explain that better, but next season is going to be awkward and I hope they find some way to integrate them all again. That was sort of the shows most compelling dynamic. As I said, this was a perfect series finale.

I can kind of see why they did it this way if they were worried about getting another season or not. This technically could have worked as a series finale, but it is still missing some parts that need to be filled in. I'm hoping Peter isn't really gone for good though, but I can probably assume he won't be in the first few episodes next season at the least. And yeah, hoping for some explanations to Peter "never existing" besides him "serving his purpose" next season.

I really have no idea where they are going to take this next season, but I'm really looking forward to it. It is going to be a long wait. =(

I don't know how they're going to bring Peter back unless the Observers get involved since they're the only ones who know he existed.

Does it mean that Peter didn't exist in Walternate's world? How do they explain why the cracks in the world started without having Peter as the catalyst for the ensuing events?

Oh and fucking finally a tv show shows someone disappearing on screen. Pisses me off whenever an angel or whatever in Supernatural vanishes, they always cut away and then back.

I felt like this episode was a real cop-out, they spent 2 whole seasons talking about this machine, now its basically all for nothing because the observers said lolparadox? My understanding is that had peter not made the right choice both universes were going bye bye, the only thing they were doing was prolonging the inevitable with containing breeches with amber. The Observers knew that Peter had to "exist" long enough so he could use the machine to repair the time-line from walter crossing over in 1985 to nab peter as a child.

So basically Walter crosses over in 1985 and causes some major destruction that was going to lead both worlds to their doom from vortex's, Peter being the only one who could operate the machine gets saved by the observer when the frozen lake cracks causing him to fall in(Knowing the observers needed him to be able to repair the time-line.)

We get a glimpse of what happens when Peter chooses to eliminate the otherside which leads to their universe breaking down 15 years in the future. They use the machine in the future to tell Peter who is in the machine in the past to make a different choice(looks like the two universes may have merged) which would explain why walternate and other olivia exist in the machine room and then the Observers say well done, pull the plug on peter.

If they don't know peter existed then walter never crossed over in 1985 which caused this entire mess etc etc.
