I hope the show gets a proper ending and not let it go bye bye like Terminator: SSC. I was pissed the fuck off when Fox cancelled it, the show had so much potential. I think what turned a lot of people off from FRINGE is when that whole "other universe" stuff started, I had friends and family that loved FRINGE when it first started and when the plot shifted from weird cases to "the other side+weird cases" they thought it was stupid, stopped watching it because they thought it just got too confusing to follow.

As for other shows, I would be extremely shocked if alcatroll is brought back, what a terrible show, they screwed up something that could have been epic.

I'm confused; it all started with the Observer distracting Walternate, right? Which lead to failed experiment, which lead to Walter kidnapping Peter etc. eventually, it lead to Bolivia having Peter's baby - which was not supposed to...happen?

How, exactly? Had Peter not been kidnapped, the entire event would not have happened, making it more likely that Peter would have met Bolivia and had her baby rather than Olivia - whom he was apparently supposed to have a baby with - no?

I thought September meant that the events that occurred after Walternate was distracted shouldn't have happened. I can't remember exactly, but didn't September admit that though Henry was born, he shouldn't have existed at all. I think September could have conveyed the information about the disrupted timeline without mentioning Henry, but it added more drama to the situation. I don't think Henry is significant in any way... at least to the Observers.

I was wondering this myself, it was a good episode but it just seems so random to put it in now and put David Jones off and there was almost no setup other than the little nugget of info at the start. I almost get the feeling that they're trying to cram in a story they wanted to tell just in case they get cancelled D:

I was fine with the time skip. I have enough faith in the show at this point to know everything's going to be explained, via either flashbacks or something else. I thought it was a nice change of pace and an interesting route to continuing the story.

Jeez, that episode came out of nowhere, but I really enjoyed it. Almost feel like it should have been the start of a new season or something though. After the past few episodes, it just felt out of place to all of a sudden start this storyline. I wonder how many episodes this will go on for.

That was strange - I wonder if they'll start doing "flashforward" episodes every now and then throughout next season, and wonder if they'll start the observer storyline in 2015 if the show goes on for that long.

I don't think the show will be on the air for another 3 years. Multiple times Abrams has said that there is definite end to the story. That is how they sold it to Fox.
The show is clinging on by fingertips as is.
