Holding penalty per-ushual.
It seems the Seahawks are reuniting with Koren Robinson... this is what happens when Seneca can't save you. I'm actually sort of excited though, when he wasn't on cocaine he was actually pretty damn good.
They need to do somethin for sure their loosing reciever's left and right.
Enough about the 'hawks, they are done. Next
2 losses isn't dead yet, they still have the NFL's worst division.
Once you start contributing to these threads in any way shape or form beyond witless one liners designed to illustrate your inability to produce a thought of your own, maybe you can start focusing threads by, I don't know, introducing topics.
I would be more excited if they had gone after him last week. The fact that they signed two guys you've never heard of before Koren Robinson shows exactly how much they didn't want him back. For a guy who was drated in the first round in 2001 and made the Pro Bowl in 2005, he's fallen very fast off the national radar. I read somewhere that Holmgren wanted him back last week since he was already relatively familiar with the offense, but the front office said no, which gives me a little bit of hope. This is probably his last chance, maybe he'll make the most of it. But I doubt it.Originally Posted by Fistandantilus
Although the offense is banged up, I'm honestly more worried about the defense, which was supposed to be the strength of the team. Although still healthy, they just wilted to San Francisco's offense this week in the fourth quarter and overtime. I believe the 49ers converted something like their seven of eight third downs on those last three drives (FG to tie, missed FG at end of regulation, FG to win). I could understand that to a quality offense, but even with Mike Martz, but JT O' Sullivan almost doubled his career passing yardage last week. The talent is there, but something's terribly wrong with that defense.
Arizona's looked good, but has beat up two chumps (of course, one of those chumps just beat the Seahawks). Their next five games are @ Washington, @ NY Jets, vs. Buffalo, vs. Dallas, and @ Carolina. It wouldn't shock me to see them go 0-5 in those games. Of course, if they go 3-2 or better, I'll buy into their hype.
I haven't completely given up because of the Seahawks' division, but it's not looking good. They have the Rams this week. If they win that, Week 4 is a bye, and hopefully one or both of the Branch / Engram pair will be back after that. Week 5 is @ Giants and week 6 is vs. the Packers, so a 1-4 start is very likely. How they do in those week 5 & 6 games (depending on how they lose those games, assuming they lose) is probably going to provide an indication of how their last 10 games will go.
I do see them possibly going 3-2 in that run. Skins is winnable. Jets is winnable. Bills is winnable. Dallas... not so much. Panthers, we're about to find out how real they are with Steve Smith coming back this weekend. We learn though not to buy into Arizona hype until they are actually in the playoffs. Otherwise, they'll just let us all down again. The West though is as winnable as ever now with Seattle crippled.
Last half of last season, Kurt Warner threw for more TDs than any other QB in the league, Brady included. He's continuing on that track this season. They are getting really good QB play with really good wideouts. I think the seahawks have one hell of an uphill climb.
I do too tbh. I mean they are injured from tip to tail and starting 0-2 doesn't help. I think the Cards will surprise the rest of the season. Boldin has a chip on his shoulder and is playing for a mega pay day this off season, since he says he will not resign with the Cards.
Warner does complain a lot and is selfish (I lived in STL when the "greatest show on turf" were bobbing and weaving every 5 mins they scored) but he is good with this group of guys. Compound that with a weak conference and its the making of something neat finally for Zona.
Hasslebeck is sucking it up this year, granted he has no one to throw though but damn. Reminds me of the Pathers when they lost Smith, Foster, Drew Carter for the season a few years ago, right after they lost Moose to the Bears.
I still can't buy into it. Every year is the Cardinals year, and every year they flop. They lose games to the 49ers that they should win. They find some way to fuck it up. It's like management doesn't want to win. They just want to pull in a ton of money. Until I see a little letter by their name that signifies clinching a playoff spot, I won't buy into it, haha.
LOL Yeah, remember getting Edge was "what they needed"! So was getting Emmitt, Fitzgerald, Bolden, Warner, Leinhart, Wishenhunt etc....
So I know what you mean lol, I mean after 40 years of "this is the year" we have to be right! Right? QQ
That's how I feel about the Cowboys. Since 96 I have been hearing non stop about how this is the Cowboys year, only to reach the playoffs and ejaculate all over themselves when they get on the field. It is quite humorous to watch over the years I must admit.
I havent found it very funny gdi, but I swear, we play better defense and were going to make the super bowl. There at the end of the philly game we finally started to stop them and played solid D, ended up with like 6 sacks.
Why would I go into huge detail like you when I can get my point across in one line?
For you, though pointless:
1. Seahawks D-line is overrated even though they lead the league in sacks (I think? off the top of my head); JTO just sat there and refused to get rid of the ball and took sacks.
2. The WR core is obviously shit; I don't think Koren will help at all. In fact, watch for him to fumble some punts if he takes over that position.
3. They are going to lose the time of possession battle against any team above average; there are a lot of above average teams this year.
4. As long as Warner is healthy, Arizona should be able to push over Seattle.
5. I don't like Seattle.
Bills starting to get some love from the press. Will be interesting to see what is said after the Raiders game. I'll be there screaming my face off.
Bills will be 3-0 after this game, the cock slobbering will continue, and rightfully so!
All valid points, and yes seahawks defense has the most sacks.
