NFL Week 2...The Beginning Is The End Is The Beginning

Seahawks: I am hoping that Koren still has the physical abilities to be a good WR in the NFL, this is only shot he is going to get so I'm hoping that will keep him clean and off any substances. The Hawks BETTER beat the Rams, after that they get a Bye which comes at a nice time, hopefully they can recover a bit and win at least one of the games vs the Giants or the Packers. 2-3 would make me pretty happy going into week 7. I agree about the Defense though, what the fuck is going on? Doesn't matter if we get Randy Moss and T.O. as WR, no wins are going to happen if we can't stop the 49ers offense on third and long.

Cardinals: If the Hawks fall to the Rams next week and the Cardinals can win a few of their next 5 rough games, at that point I'll be cheering for the Cards and hoping the Seahawks get a nice draft pick honestly. I'm a fan of the NFC West overall so I'd like to see the Cardinals finally not disappoint for once, but judging by the past few seasons I'm not buying into the Hype unless they can win at least 2 of those 5 games. The Cardinals seem to find ways to lose, also they need Edge to start showing up because Warner isn't going to be able to air it out like this every single week no matter how good his receivers are. A good playoff contender should be able to pull out three I think. I'd love to see Boldin continue to tear it up, with all the Seattle WR problems I'm really hoping that they go after him in the offseason, Hassleback to Boldin would be fucking sweet in '09.

Hoculi: He made a horrible call, at least he was man enough to admit it. I can understand Norv being very upset after the game because his team blew two games that they should have won in the closing seconds, but I agree about the defense. Hoculi didn't give the broncos a touchdown and a 2 point conversion, fix the fucking defense Norv, just because Merriman is out isn't enough to say a team that was expected to go deep into the playoffs or even the superbowl is not good enough to stop average offenses. Two weeks in a row the Chargers defense proved they can't stop anyone in a clutch situation. If you want to get to the superbowl like that you'll need Hoculi to make about 100 calls as bad as that one in your favor.
