By that logic, so can Kerry Collins considering he took his team the same year. See you sunday!
not really the same logic, i was implying efficient qb + dominant defense. yea the g-men had a silly D that year but they also had RON DAYNE NIGGA
edit: + they cheated against the vikes, so if the kerry collins lead titans start intercepting play signals and sign jason sehorn to shut down randy moss, than MAYBE collins can take them to the promise land.
Collins certainly do any worse than Young. Even if he plays abysmal and tosses 2 picks, goes 5-21 for 80 yards passing he would still be on par with Vince's numbers.
I mean, Vince owes all of the QB records for futility in the NFL since 2006.
Man I remember Warren Sapp called out Seahorn for making the pro bowl lol. Seahorn was overrated as hell.
oh lol I was scared because we Giants fans take much pride in that win. I just don't talk about it much because I'm the resident randy lover, and for one day his first name should have been Pete.
To be fair, the dude was pretty freaking sick over his first 3 seasons. It was sad because he broke his knee BADLY and those injuries were still kind of a big deal at the time. People thought he was overrated only because he was never the same player after, or maybe his whiteness just caught up with him, idk.
edit; k i'm done spamming this thread lol sorry guys. I'm just uber bored tonight. gonna go play CC or something....
I'm looking at Campbell and Young's numbers side by side. I can tell a difference. >.>
VY obviously has the better rushing numbers, so put that aside.
Also, not to mention, VY was the 3rd pick. Tons of pressure. Campbell was the 25th pick. Anyway, onto the stats! I won't put names, but I'll leave it up to you guys to fill in the name.
XXXXXXX: 31 G, 434-761 57% 4855 yards 6.4 AVG, 22 TDs, 32 INTs, 68.3 Rating
XXXXXXX: 21 G, 375-651 57.6% 4130 yards 6.3 AVG, 23 TDs, 17 INTs, 77.4 Rating
So who's who? Pretty significant difference to me in terms of turnovers. Not to mention one has had a bit of an injury bug/didn't get the start right away.
Let's ignore rushing stats because defense get to ignore it on Sunday's too, right?
If you only looked at Westbrooks rushing stats, you'd think he was an average player.
You're stacking the cards in Campbell's favor and they're STILL similar considering he's a pocket passer and Vince isn't. Also if you figure in all of Campbell's Fumbles, his Turnover's are even with Vince's. LOL that's horrible.
And not starting as a rookie is a good thing, Aki. If anything, it just shows how much worse Campbell really is.
Ugh. Not you again. My only thing about that is the Titans lack the playmakers, so VY has to rely on his legs. I've never once said he wasn't a good scrambling QB. He can run, but if his first WR he's looking for is locked down, he lacks the brains to check down properly and that's where his mistakes come in.
Campbell was never known for his legs. He was known for his game management, and his arm. =P You don't compare rushing stats when talking about a QB's passing numbers. That and with the talent Campbell does have at his disposal, he shouldn't have to run all the time. D: Just saying.
I'm going to make it get bigger and bigger just so noone else misses it.
That fucking sucks, akin to the sucking which VY's scrotum is undergoing every time Deejay posts in this thread.
But you know, now that I think about it, it would be pretty hard to throw completions to your own team with another dude's lips wrapped around the base of your ballsack.
We have our answer here ladies and gentlemen - Deejay is the reason VY sucks.
Jason Campbell also sucks
We're comparing them as QB's. Just because one runs and one doesn't means you exclude it from the conversation. Defense's still have to prepare for the run, so you have to take it into account.
Jamal Lewis has comparable RUSHING numbers to Brian Westbrook, but who is the better player?
ROFL.
Also: Agreed. He just hasn't been healthy or as good as he was thought to be. I'd defend him right now (by saying he's gone through 5 different offensives schemes in the last 5 years), but it'd be looked at as me being SEC biased, so I'll just agree by saying he does suck.
Just not as much as Vince Young. :3
Super EDITO! Jamal Lewis used to be a beast until he got hurt. D: If Westbrook can stay 100% healthy, then I'd stay Westbrook because he is indeed a duel threat. I know, I know. VY is a duel threat too, but as a QB.. shouldn't he concetrate on throwing the ball to his own teammates instead of the guys in the other jersies?
