I'm sure SE buffs something for a couple days then takes it away to mess with the players.

My favorite was when sneak attack was borked.
Much as I hope for a boost, no noticeable changes done to Claustrum.
All I get is a shiny new "Aftermath" icon.
SHUT YOUR DIRTY WHORE MOUTH
Question really is.... did SE say that they will boost Z.relics or did they say that they were just thinking about it? Can anyone here simply answer that question please? I mean they almost did everything that they said they would do no?
Seeing Final Heaven do 220 damage every now and then when I normally do 700-800 on an EP Spider with the same gears on and Asuran Fists almost always break 1K and Howling Fists do 800-1K is really sad. Destroyers are only like inches away when parsed most of you already know that from people posting parse results and more.
Kaiten has it's down falls from what I've read, and I am sure a few other Z.relics are needing that type of attention they gave to SAM's, 2H's, SCH's, and WAR's (they added counter to this job -.-), will SE finally give love and attention to Z.relics soon or is it hopeless? Input anyone?
Gungnir needs some lovin'.
Shock Spikes? Come on ; ;
They gave that shit TWO MOTHERFUCKING COLONS, is that not enough for you?
I'll settle for Mother Globe's Shock Spikes...
SE has been quoted in interviews as saying:
1) the DPS on the mythics will NOT be as high as RoZ relics
2) the RoZ relics will continue to have the "paramount" weapons skill
The DPS issue probably needs to wait until we see whether the DA rate only works on affermath or not and whether it's as high as 50% or not.
As for weapon skills, clearly Final Heaven is 4th at best compared to AF, HF and DK. So, again, in that regard, clearly SE has either ignored what their own staff has said publicly, or they haven't YET fixed these, or they have a completely different way of measuring what a top weapon skill is.
Kaiten should own in endgame compared to YGK but for me the damage is significantly lower (by 200-400 points) on high defense mobs.
Aftermath: "Occasionally Attacks Twice" will be 50% chance on only the next hit after WS. This is SE we're talking about.
I figured something like this, if it was a normal feature of the weapon, they would have put it before the thing that says Aftermath: increases atk/acc, etc., not after. It'll probably be 50% chance of double attack AND the atk/acc, etc. bonus as part of the aftermath effect from using a mythic weaponskill. The double attack thing probably won't proc unless you use the WS, and it'll only last as long as the aftermath effect lasts. So Tizona won't always act like a joytoy or ridill for BLU (for example), only after you use the WS with the sword equipped.
Those are close but not exact quotes. At work, so I'll have to look around when I get home.
IIRC the DPS remark was made around the time SE was releasing the 'raw' versions of the mythics (July?) while the reference to the WS was made in one of the meetings in the show around March(?). The first was pretty close to exact and was memorable (to me at least) since I don't ever recall seeing a SE person use the term DPS in any interview.
The second was quoted by observers at the side meetings and was not from an interview so its somewhat more dubious as to what the context was. It was noted by at least 2 or 3 different observers, so it seems likely it was with regards to the mythic WS and whether or not the RoZ weapon skills would be supplanted in some way.
I won't be certain until I go hunting but someone else might correct or confirm this before I do.
I was one of the four press members in the dev interview last year at Fanfest that broke the whole 'paramount weapons' deal.
The first 'quote' was correct.
The second one isn't exactly true. What was the answer boiled down to:
The old relics will continue to be the paramount weapons for their jobs.
Not the weapon skills. No mention of the WSes was made during the interview.
And honestly they kept to their word: The weapons themselves are still higher in base DMG and still have 2.5x/3.0x damage procs, plus their added effects and optimal delays. Using the new Mythic WS with most corresponding RoZ Relics yields the most damage usually of all the weapons available to that job.
