FFXI in 1 year?! Doomsday?!

So today I was called by my friend and he wad discussing with me over the phone about some news he was reading today @ work. He was pretty upset/mad/all crazy about it, anyways. In Europe there's been an experience that can create the so called 'big bang' ( for people who doesn't study or don't give a fuck, i'll explain it in a easy/short version )
It's known as the big explosion as people can call it, how the world is existing today and how we got created and all that. Now the experience is a big bomb, or whatever you can call it, got launched today and will blow up in about 1 year. People that worked with this and other pro's saying not to worry and some others say it can create black holes and suck planets and stars and it will end up killing us all.

I'll find a English link about this and post it later on if people wanna discuss this. I only have the german/norwegian version of the news for the moment.
I think this seems pretty advanced and people shouldn't worry too much.
