I recently purchased an HDTV and I really love it.

The PS3 looks awesome on it but unfortunately the PS2 does not. Sometimes the images appear grainy on the TV and look worse than they did on my SDTV. Is there any setting to change that Im just missing or something?

Prolly bcuz PS2 is worthless and you should upgrade to Xbox 360!

The PS2, even with component cables, looks crummy for the same reason your broadcast TV shows look crappy: The TV is displaying a 480 image at 720/1080 and hence the blurriness and pixelation from a basically zoomed-in image. Unless you can change the display resolution of your TV then nothing is going to change it.

BTW what kind of TV did you get?

You're probably on the zoom setting which will distort your picture unless the source is formatted for 16:9. You can set it back to standard 4:3 in you menu options and that might help your grainy.blurriness, but then you'll have grey/black borders.
