sup fellow techies.
I'm currently working on a notebook(dell inspiron e1705) at work and im curious if any of you have seen this issue.
When the notebook was brought it, it wouldnt load the os, in normal mode or safe mode. ran a memtest, passed, ran checkdisk , passed.
even though it could have been a thermal issue, i thought id try just doing a repair of the os with an oem disk. It worked wonders, and the pc booted to the welcome screen.
However, now everytime it hits the screen with the user account login page, I get a windows popup: (sorry no SS)
svchost.exe
(random hex code) "The memory could not be written"
press ok or abort to exit.
no matter what option you pick, it still lets you load a user profile, but I know the customer will not be pleased if he sees this error everytime he turns on the pc.
ive already disabled all startup files in msconfig, but i doubt thats even close since it loads before the user profile screen.
Thinking bad os still? any advice would be great.
