look at every other nugget synth. 6 nuggets replace 3 ore sooo 2 nugget = 1 ore.

I'm crossing my fingers that
Fire Crystal + Iron Ore + Khroma Ore + Khroma Nugget x2 + Wootz Ore
is a valid synth; its the only one untested right now.

Adaman Ingots, it's only 2 nugget = 1 ore if you ignore the type of Ore. The nugget synth drops the iron out, and then requires 3 adaman nuggets per adaman ore. (3 nugget + 1 ore).

Anyone can test this, you don't need someone with 100 smithing. You can try every combination of nugget and ore safely with 0 smithing skill. If you have the wrong ingredients, the message tell as much, "That combination of materials cannot be synthesized." If you happen to get the right recipe, it will tell you that your skill is not high enough for that recipe.

If it's 25% I have the worst luck in the world. I remember usually seeing one per 8 or 9 (some people would have doubles) on average, though for mine personally I was 1/27.

This month alone I've done 5 ISNMs (level 75) and have gotten 2 Khroma Ores so far. I would have to say I've been pretty lucky. I just need 22 more now until I can get enough to make a full stack of Imp. Wootz Ingots.

I could test if Khroma Nuggets can be used to make ingots, but I highly doubt it. I am 79+2 Smithing so I can give it a shot and see if I get the error that I'm either too low or combination doesn't work out.

I've done 23 ISNMs, and never gotten an Ore. Mixture of the Pudding and the Puk ones, if you're interested.

If it was synthable it'd have been found out by now I'd assume. SE knows how to insult us (see Maat's cap quest where he offers you Kraken Club / Ridill and then gives you a cap instead).

Maybe next patch. The nuggets might be step 1 in a long process to provide alternative. IE get the nuggets out there and to NPC sale price then make them usefull.

EFF. I completely forgot that smithing could do nugget synths as well.

Doesn't seem there where any smithing/GS/WW added with this update so I'm going out on a limb and thinking that these are not yet in any other synth (if all attempts to make ingots have failed)

i agree. probably nothing more than a cocktease by SE tossing it out there with a name like "khroma nugget" knowing that all nuggets up to this point make their respective ingots then when we reach for it, snatching it away with a big middle finger. it wouldn't be the first time they've pulled that stunt.

So has anyone managed to gather 6 of these to try yet? On another note tried farming hilltrolls for nuggets for about an hour, not a single drop but no TH. Anyone else tried farming these, and if so how was your drop rate?

Excuse me for being captain obvious, but so far we know A) there is no nugget>ingot synth for this yet (hasn't been implemented, whatever) and B) the khromated leather isn't extremely useful outside of upgrades for BLU AF, right?

I heard an interesting story the other day, about a particular Japanese company. The way the story goes (which is allegedly true, and I know which company, but I'll decline to share it) is that every employee in the company has the ability to hit a red button to stop an assembly line if they see an error or can figure out a way to do things better. It's safe to assume S-E does not have this red button policy. Maybe they should.. it seems to me like a lot of things get implemented in a half-ass way. I don't mind when they delay patches/updates if it means getting it right, you know?

That sorta reminds me of the Imperial Silk Cloth for BLU AF and desynthesizing flayer Robes.
